Would definitely stay here again and recommend for a tranquil getaway. The country location with a burn running along the garden into the river at the bottom of the field. Large garden space. Perfect place to stay and enjoy or have 30min to 2 hr drives to visit so many beautiful Scottish locations/activities. The selection of kitchen items was good if you are eating in and even had a selection of baby/toddler plastic bibs, bowls etc. should you be there with little ones youll be covered should you forget to bring your own. Allows dogs downstairs. Lovely view to sit in/out to take in and relax with the sights and sounds of the surrounding water and wildlife on the estate. Cosy kitchen and living room. Two very large bedrooms and one single. (Dont have a pic of the largest room empty to share, but it has one single and one double or king bed and still plenty of space) would have stayed longer! Far enough away from the village to enjoy some spectacular starry skies. Would have preferred an outside light to cover the area where the car is parked and prominent path to walk to the main door rather than over gras. Especially in Scottish weather. So just now a torch would be recommended, especially, if like myself you have someone with you who may be a little unsteady on their feet. (I did torches with me) You are also requested to strip your bedding and leave folded at the bottom of the used beds and bring your used towels to the bath. I did not enjoy my morning of leaving as it is a 10 am checkout. (I was a bit late but no isue) So it meant an early start to make sure I could get through getting breakfast for us, dogs done, cleaned up after, bedding dealt with, car packed up and away. In hindsight I should have mesaged to ask for a later check out as I did want to give downstairs carpets a quick courtesy hoover to remove some exces dog hairs.

The cottage is is superbly located for the walks we did set in lovely kept grounds. Very peaceful area with lots of walks close by. Great to see all the wildlife in and around the garden and stream located just at the bottom of the field. Cottage is well presented with plenty of things to use and do inside.
