Fin Glen is a beautifully renovated cottage set in a tranquil, remote location surrounded by stunning scenery and abundant wildlife. Guests consistently praise its spaciousness, warmth, and well-equipped interiors, making it ideal for families and groups seeking peace and a home-from-home experience. The property offers excellent access to nature and local attractions, though the single-track road to the cottage can be challenging. While most found the facilities excellent, a few noted minor issues with kitchen equipment and amenities. Overall, Fin Glen provides a memorable and restful retreat in the heart of Scotland.
Multiple reviews highlight the property as very clean, modern, and well-maintained. Only one review mentioned a lack of small litter bins, but this did not detract significantly from the overall impression of cleanliness.
The remote, peaceful setting and beautiful views are frequently praised, with guests enjoying the wildlife and proximity to nature. The only drawback mentioned is the long, single-track road, which some found challenging but ultimately manageable.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as warm, comfortable, spacious, and welcoming, with ample room for families and groups. The beds and living areas receive positive remarks, contributing to a restful stay.
The house is generally described as well-equipped and modern, with good heating, bathrooms, and entertainment options. A few guests noted minor issues such as a lack of some kitchen utensils, a poor frying pan, and no ironing board, but these were exceptions rather than the rule.
While guests appreciated the board games, high chair, and overall welcoming atmosphere, there is no mention of welcome gifts or starter packs being provided. One guest expressed a wish for a welcome pack, so such items cannot be guaranteed.

A great place to stay with a larger family group. Comfortable house in a rural setting with lovely views and woodland and wildlife on the doorstep.A bit of a drive to the shops but a good central location for exploring the area.

A good cottage, it has a shared driveway and the neighbours are very close by but it is still a very quiet cottage. Warm and comfortable and we enjoyed the wildlife outside the windows. We would return.

The Fin Glen house was really lovely, modern, clean and with parking. The downside, and visitors should note that the house is 7.2 miles away from the main road in Killin along a single track road with occasional passing places and the drive takes 20 to 25 minutes journey time. We were asked to take the wheelie bin across to opposite side of road. This meant having to take a heavy bin across a very slippery wet cattle grid - no path. This could cause serious injury with feet slipping through the rungs as happened to me - Not good!!We were very disappointed to find there was an iron but no ironing board.Lots of mugs and crockery but no kitchen utensils (serving spoons etc..)The only frying pan was in very poor old condition. The handle was loose and about to fall off and the base was dished so did not sit flat on hob - i.e. oil flowed to one side when cooking.Limited number of saucepans - just enough for the two of us. Certainly not for eight guests. No small litter bins in the bathrooms or the bedrooms. No spare rubbish sacks or kitchen towels were left for use. It would have been nice to have been provided with a welcome pack on arrival containing milk, bread / biscuits etc. to get through the first night without having to go all the way back to Killin Co op for essentials.
