The venue was chosen to be mid way between Lauder (sheep dog trials) and Stirling (a friend to visit). It was also near to visitor attractions in Edinburgh, Falkirk, Stirling, easily reachable by car or park & ride. Nearest town was Linlithgow, also well served by shops, restaurants, pubs, & a railway station.Cottage was fitted with underfloor heating, which we did not understand, but each room also had its own heater so we were never cold. Picturesque views from the main window, which looked out through trees to sheep fields & mountains in the distance.
