A beautifully restored period retreat, with rare Tudor wall paintings, this palatial Welsh hideaway is the perfect place to celebrate that special occasion. Sleeping up to 12 guests, the six-bedroom former manor house is set in Beaumaris on the picturesque Isle of Anglesey. Head out from here to shop, dine out and enjoy the coastal town. Visit the fortress of Beaumaris Castle, which was famously never completed. Head over to the mainland to explore Eryri National Park, also known as Snowdonia, with its incredible walks and beauty spots. Pull on your walking boots and hike out across the picturesque island on which you are staying. Challenge yourselves to follow stretches of the Anglesey Coastal Path, with its dramatic scenery. Take time out to enjoy the wonderful beaches that are here too. Llanddona, 4 miles away, is ideal for swimming. Rhosneigr, 21.5 miles away, is renowned for its sweeping golden sands.
Wander inside this grand house to discover opulent interiors and an abundance of striking, original features. Follow the path up to the entrance and from the hall, amble on into the gorgeous main lounge. Pause to admire the original Tudor beams and a rare, restored wall painting, before making yourselves comfortable. Look out over the lovely garden towards Snowdonia, with the doors open to bring in the fresh sea air on sunny days. Play a lively family game or watch TV together. Wander through to the kitchen/diner to take turns at cooking up delicious dishes with fresh Anglesey produce. The handcrafted kitchen is well equipped with all the appliances and accessories you are likely to require, and the large antique dining table is the perfect spot for your grand feasts. Step outside into the courtyard for summer BBQs or to soak in the hot tub. Two of your super-king-size bedrooms, one that is suitable for wheelchair users and both with shower rooms, are also downstairs. Wander upstairs to take in the panoramic views from the magnificent Green Salon, with its two large bay windows looking out over the Menai Strait. Here, you can still see the original Tudor A-frame beams. Mix yourself a cocktail or brew a cup of tea at the bar. Two more en-suite super-king-size bedrooms are also at this level, together with two spacious en-suite twins. The splendid main super-king-size bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and large bay windows with views towards Beaumaris Pier.
Bask in the summer sunshine out in the tranquil, private side garden. Stretch out on a sun lounger, dine at the table or hop into the hot tub. Cook out on the BBQ at every opportunity. There is private parking here for four cars
