The Coach House is a charming holiday cottage located in one of Beaumaris' higgledy piggledy streets. It is just a few minutes away from the waterfront and the town centre.
On the first floor the kitchen, dining and living area is a lovely open plan space with beams and a oriel style window. The well equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, hob, fridge, dishwasher, washing machine/drier, microwave and toaster. There is a dining table and four chairs. The comfortable sofas are set around an electric flame effect fire and TV.
On the ground floor there is one double and one twin bedroom. The bathroom, also on the ground floor, has a bath with shower over, loo, wash hand basin and two heated towel rails.
There is a gravelled area outside with table and chairs.
Beaumaris is an historic town, complete with moated castle, set on the banks of the Menai Strait where you can watch the boats sail by or just marvel at the mountains beyond. The pier is a favourite spot for crabbing and the town itself has a lovely range of individual shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs.
Guests should note the gravelled area outside has a pedestrian right of way for a neighbouring property.
As with many cottages in Beaumaris there is no allocated parking. Guests can use neighbouring side streets or purchase a weekly ticket for The Green.
Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.

We had difficulty finding it as the sign was covered by foliage. Look for the bay window on the upper floor and the door is round the corner opposite the black garage door. We parked up outside the cottage to unload the car and tried to buy a weekly pass on the green. There were none available and we didnât want a weekly ticket as this can only be used when there is an attendant there. As it happened we managed to find free parking in nearby streets all week. The upside down cottage is lovely. All the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The shower is great, the double bed was comfy, there was a hairdryer and plenty of coat hangers. We only are breakfast in the cottage, but the kitchen was well laid out. There is a dishwasher, (take your own tablets) and a washer/dryer. Itâs worth getting a joint ticket to the Gaol and Courthouse and the Castle was good to explore. We would recommend walks to Ynys Llanddwyn, Eglwys Cwyfan, but check tide times first. We enjoyed the walk from Red Wharfe Bay to Benllech, after refreshments in The Boathouse. We ate at The Liverpool Arms a few times and enjoyed meals at The George and Dragon and The Midland (tapas). The 2 of us had a fabulous week, thank you
