When the sky grows dark, retreat to one of four well-appointed bedrooms, choose from a super-king-size, ground-floor king-size, double, and ground-floor twin, with two serviced by en-suites and the remaining by a ground-floor shower room to guarantee all preferences and sleeping arrangements are catered for. Take a stroll to discover Bwrdd Arthur, also known as ‘Arthur’s Table’, a Site of Special Scientific Interest, or venture to Penmon Point which is the quickest way to get to Puffin Island by kayak and hosts a brilliant place to spot dolphins, seals, and porpoise. Grab your walking boots and follow one of many walking trails through Mariandyrys North Wales Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve, offering the ideal vantage point, looking towards Snowdonia mountain range, where you can also bird watch, or if you’d prefer to feel some fresh sea air, encircle the Isle of Anglesey coastal path covering 200 kilometers long. Further afield, discover the bustling town of Beaumaris where you can immerse yourself in the history at Beaumaris Castle, Beaumaris Gaol and Court or try your hand at crab fishing off the famous Beaumaris Pier. Bangor is only a short distance from your doorstep by car and boasts the breathtakingly beautiful Penrhyn Castle and Garden, relish a picnic here during warmer months or choose from an abundance of independent eateries, restaurants, or pubs to treat your loved ones to a hearty meal at. You will never be short of things to do during a stay at Bethania.

The most beautiful sunrises can be seen in Beaumaris, a well-known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey that is situated on the Menai Strait and overlooks the Snowdonia Mountain range. With its mediaeval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol, and courthouse, it is also regarded as a significant destination for sailing. With a long history, Beaumaris still has a lot of its original mediaeval street layout. The town's environment, diversity of architectural styles and eras, variable scale, open spaces, different roofing, and overall quality all play a significant role in the character of the community. In addition to a golf course close by, the town offers a good assortment of stores, eateries, and bars, as well as options for boat trips and fishing. Red Wharf Bay, also known as Traeth Coch (Red Beach), is a large bay along the coast that is well-known for its spectacular sunsets. Due to the bay's extreme shallowness, approximately 25 square kilometres (10 square miles) of sand are exposed at low tide, making it safe for swimming, excellent for family outings, fishing, and miles of breathtakingly beautiful hikes. The port of Holyhead, farther away, has frequent ferry connections to Dublin. Beaumaris is a great starting point for exploring Wales because of its ideal location on the south coast of the charming Isle of Anglesey and proximity to the magnificent Snowdonia mountains.

Ok - so the house was fantastic- the quirky layout worked well for our party of 6. The furnishings were lovely, the art work was lovely. Sitting on the top terrace in the sunshine surrounded by butterflies & crickets was lovely. The views across the Menai straits into Snowdonia were magnificent. The locality is marvellous, the walks from the door great. The locals friendly- a red squirrel kindly stopped & posed for photos on a stroll to Arthur's Fort & if you get a chance to say hello to a fella with a large grey beard & a S.A. accent who regularly walks by the house with his dog then do so & if your lucky he will regale you with tales of foreign travel in search of bugs, fascinating. Castles, boat trips, beaches & walks all good. Great holiday. Envious of the owners. But you have been warned- no cheese grater. (cleaners could pay a little more attention to the shower waste traps.)

The views were amazing and is well situated to explore the island. The nearest beach is only a few miles away, and there are scenic walks on the door step. In an evening, or if weather is poor there are plenty of board games to keep children and adults alike entertained. Thank you Brian and Hannah for sharing your lovely holiday home. We would certainly recommend this property and would use again
