Hawthorn Cottage offers a peaceful retreat in a beautiful coastal setting, ideal for walkers and dog owners. Guests praise the stunning views, proximity to the beach, and the cosy, well-equipped accommodation. The property is noted for its cleanliness and character, with many visitors returning for repeat stays. While some mention dated décor, occasional maintenance issues, and the need for a car due to the remote location, the overall experience is positive, with highlights including wildlife sightings and thoughtful touches for guests and pets.
Most guests found the property clean and tidy, with several specifically mentioning spotless rooms and bedding. A minority noted issues such as a dog smell in the living area or minor bathroom cleanliness concerns, but these were exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, beautiful views, and easy access to the beach and walking routes. The remote setting is appreciated by those seeking peace and nature, though a car is necessary due to the lack of nearby amenities.
Guests generally found the cottage warm, cosy, and comfortable, with good beds and bedding. Some mentioned steep stairs and occasional issues with heating or hot water, but most felt at home and enjoyed restful stays.
The cottage is described as well-equipped, with essentials provided and thoughtful extras like a wood burner and laundry facilities on site. Some guests noted dated furnishings, limited kitchen utensils, or maintenance issues, but overall facilities met expectations for a relaxing break.
Several guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as a dog towel, a welcome basket of wood, and a helpful information folder. While these gestures are warmly received, please note that such gifts or extras are not guaranteed for every stay.

Having booked for three nights we stayed only for two nights however as the owner had control of the heating &stated it came on twice daily they did not turn it on.Which made the holiday very very cold & miserable was glad to come home.We would not recommend to anybody. All the furniture carpet very dated very basic for today’s standards .

A beautiful location far from the ‘madding Crowd’ great for walking the dog with lots of peace and quiet yet within easy reach of a quiet beach, a great pub with great food and very friendly service - Yr Owain Glyndur (the Owain Glyndur) and within easy driving distance to Biwmares (Beaumaris).Lots to do and see on Anglesey and the mainland of North Wales.

We really liked the area and being able to walk to the beach and the forest. I think the appartement is perfect for a person with a dog. As we don't have one, the smell of dog in the living room was sometimes unpleasent for us.Otherwise we had a really nice time and we enjoyed the quietness.
