I booked this for a special break with my son. We really wanted to spend some quality time together and we do this by bingeing on TV series after a nice day out. However the cottage we booked did not have a smart TV even though it said it did. The TV itself didn't work very well. This may seem pedantic but it ruined our holiday as we had chosen lots of TV shows we were going to watch.We hardly spend much time together and it was what we were looking forward to doing.Very disappointed

Had a lovely time at Ivy Cottage as we were visiting my daughter who lives in Menai and had easy access to buses from Beaumaris. The property is in an ideal position but road can get busy during the day, but is only 5 minutes or so on foot into the centre of Beaumaris . The house is lovely and clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom downstairs was an issue for my elderly mum but she managed. The back garden is up several steps ans there is a bench and also table and chairs. Beaumaris tea rooms are a great place to eat as they give you a big portion. Also a visit to Penhryn castle in Bangor especially if you are a National Trust member or a vist to Mr Holt's/Monuts for their amazing donut selection/ chocolate or at the only working windmill in Wales. We will be back

Would stay there again if issues with rear garden (steps unsafe and weeds everywhere in the slate areas - not child friendly) the large step from kitchen to lounge was clearly marked and there was a general redecoration both inside and out.Instructions for refuse sorting were very specific and clear but no mention of what to do with full bags and when they are collected. Big issue with TV’s and aerials.Have to be honest though and the cottage itself could be great - it has a very warm and welcoming feel about it. Great shower and is well equipped and is literally 5 minutes walk from the seafront. Street parking was not an issue, the road is not wide enough for moving cars to pass each other so they have to give way so no clipped wing mirrors on parked cars.I hope the above confirms to the owner that he has a potentially really good holiday let in a very desirable location.
