Owain Glyndwr Inn is a nearby pub if you fancy a drink, or pack your towels, buckets and spades and head to Llanddona beach, a Blue Flag Award beach with opportunities for windsurfing, swimming, kayaking or lazing in the sun before a snack at the nearby café. Penllwyn is just a short journey away from Beaumaris, a historic town overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, with a World Heritage Site medieval castle, a Victorian pier and plenty of shops; wander through the centre and spot the diverse architectural styles, stop off in one of the tearooms and wander along the sea front to take in the fantastic views. Journey south west from Penllwyn to Anglesey's county town, Llangefni, a major cultural centre with Oriel Ynys Môn museum and art gallery or take a wander along the boardwalk that winds through The Dingle (Nant-y-Pandy) Nature Reserve, a valley rich in wildlife and history. Property was clean and comfortable. A bit small for 6 people, but would be ideal for 2 adults and 2 children. A very narrow gate to enter drive so probably unsuitable for larger/wide vehicles. The porch and front doors can be tricky to open but manageable. Boiler can be very noisy in 3rd bedroom, as well as the fridge/freezer, but the rest of the property is quiet. All essentials were included in the kitchen for cooking and eating, plus an iron and ironing board, blankets and hot water bottles etc. Overall, we had a really lovely stay and would recommend the property.

Too many issues for the price paid.

Very handy for the beach. And having the pub opposite just topped off a great little holiday. We’d definitely book again.
