About this property

The owners have taken great pride in restoring this Grade 2 listed Georgian house in Beaumaris into a luxury apartment. Bespoke furnishings have been specially sourced from around the country to complete this stunning, classic house. The owners want you to feel relaxed during your holiday and for you to feel comfortable enough to kick off your shoes and chill out.

The modern and well-equipped kitchen has a double oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The dining table and chairs seat eight.



The sitting room has lovely seating areas with window seats in the gorgeous bay windows with views of the Strait. There are comfortable sofas, a wood burning stove and a SMART TV.

The washing machine is housed in the boiler room.

There are four bedrooms. The first is a double with king size bed, a decorative fireplace and window seat. The second double has a king size bed and window seat, and the third double a double size bed and window seat. The forth room is a twin bedroom with two single beds, decorative fireplace and window seat.

On the first floor there is a bathroom with shower, double ended bath, wash hand basin and a separate loo. On the second floor there is a shower room with large shower, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

There is a shared paved courtyard with a bench to the front of the property.

As with most houses in Beaumaris there is no private parking. The Green parking is very close by and you can purchase daily or weekly tickets.

The beach and pier, which is popular for crabbing and fishing, is just a short walk away. You will also find coffee shops, ice cream parlours, individual shops and galleries, the historic moated castle, gaol and courthouse in town.

There is a selection of bars, pubs and restaurants nearby. We can recommend the local bakery for a fine loaf of bread, and delicious pies, pasties and cakes.

Tri Raglan Mawr is on the first and second floor. Tri Raglan Bach, on the ground floor, sleeps 3 + 1, is a great addition if your party is more than 8 or for those who are not keen on stairs.

Beaumaris is a well known historic town on the Isle of Anglesey situated on the Menai Strait and overlooking the Snowdonia mountain range, making for the most stunning of sunrises. With its medieval castle (now a World Heritage site) dating back to the reign of Edward I and its Victorian pier, gaol and courthouse, it is also known as a major centre for yachting. Beaumaris is rich in history and retains much of its medieval street pattern. It’s setting, diversity of architectural styles and periods, differing scale, open spaces, varying roofs and overall quality contribute greatly to the town’s character. There is a good selection of shops, restaurants and public houses, as well as fishing opportunities and boat trips in the town, plus a golf course nearby. Along the coast is a large bay called Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name is Traeth Coch (Red Beach) and the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow and at low tide, almost 25 square kilometres (10 sq. mi.) of sand is uncovered providing safe bathing, perfect for wonderful family fun, fishing and miles of stunning scenic walks. Further afield is the port of Holyhead, which has regular ferry links to Dublin. Beaumaris is a good central base for touring Wales, in a beautiful location on the south coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey, within easy reach of the spectacular mountains of Snowdonia.

    There were a few things that could be improved upon maintenance wise. Really dirty windows and door knob dropped off in hand. Also bedroom door didn’t close. Rug in kitchen a hazard as all corners curled up and could easily cause a trip/fall. A cherry picker type vehicle parked in front of property for the whole stay as property opposite being painted. It did mean we were overlooked in two bedrooms annd living room and view was tainted. Not owners fault but it was a shame.

    The bathrooms and fittings are good quality and meet the needs of the number of guests. The apartment is close to all amenities and has fabulous views of the Menai Straits and mountains beyond. There are a few little niggles like broken or missing locks on the bathroom doors and one or two blinds had cords that needed replacing. The grill and grill pan had not been cleaned. Some of these probably are as a result of wear and tear after a busy season. A workman was repainting the front door during our stay so there was evidence of regular maintenance. None of this detracted from our stay in the apartment. Hopefully, our main and most important observations are very positive and we would definitely recommend the apartment and return ourselves on the future.

    However, one of the bathrooms had a partially working lock and the other didn't have a lock at all. The twin bedroom is suitable for small children not adults due to the very thin mattresses which was in complete comparison to the other 3 very comfortable bedrooms.
