Ty Fferm Bodlasan is a well-loved cottage praised for its tranquil location, proximity to a private beach, and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the property's character, spaciousness, and the added charm of farm animals. While some maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is one of comfort and relaxation, with many guests eager to return.
Most guests found the cottage clean and well-presented, with fresh bedding and towels. However, a few mentioned cleanliness issues with crockery and cutlery, and one reported a need for a more thorough clean, which slightly affects the score.
The location is highly praised for its seclusion, stunning views, and proximity to a nearly private beach. It's considered perfect for peace and quiet, with easy access to local attractions, contributing to a high score.
Guests generally found the farmhouse comfortable, with cosy living spaces and spacious bedrooms. Some discomfort was noted due to a lack of radiators in the living room and the condition of some sofas, leading to a slightly reduced score.
The property is well-equipped, with a good kitchen and outdoor areas. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as a leaky bath, broken toaster, and an unplayable piano, which lowers the score.
Guests were touched by the welcome packs and fresh eggs, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness. While such gifts are appreciated, they are not guaranteed and may vary with each stay.
Llanfachraeth 1 mile.
A delightful, stone-built detached Grade II listed farmhouse on a working arable farm, in an isolated position at the end of a long track, 1 mile from Llanfachraeth village and its local pub, yet just a few hundred yards walk to the coast, deserted coves and beaches found along this craggy western coast of Anglesey. This lovely Anglesey cottage is a Grade II listed building dating back to 1849, and has been sympathetically restored to retain many original features, with exposed beams, sash windows, slate floors, and low doorways throughout. This Anglesey cottage offers a fitted kitchen with pantry/utility room, a separate dining room with exposed beams, Rayburn stove and upright piano, and two delightful sitting rooms, allowing the adults to relax in one room, whilst the children play in the other. Outside, this Anglesey cottage is set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are fantastic views of Holyhead Bay and the cottage has its own private track down to the coast. There is an enclosed lawn, a safe place for the children to play whilst you sit and soak up the sunshine, or cook the catch of the day over the BBQ. This Anglesey cottage is in a secluded location, set in the centre of 100 acres of the owners' farmland, next to some of the farm's old outbuildings, now used for storage, offering a fantastic chance to get away from it all. This cottage on Anglesey is also in a great location for Melin Llynon windmill, South Stack Lighthouse, Anglesey Sea Zoo, Plas Newydd NT mansion, beautiful Snowdonia and is close enough to Holyhead Port to even enjoy a day-trip to Ireland. An ideal Anglesey cottage to enjoy a year-round seaside holiday in a lovely, peaceful coastal location.
Llanfachraeth on Anglesey is a small village with a shop and a pub, on the lovely West coast, a few miles from the sandy beach at Trearddur Bay. The village offers easy access to this beautiful coastline, and is also great for fishermen who will enjoy the proximity to the River Alaw and Llyn Alaw reservoir. Anglesey's attractions can all be easily reached, from the watersports and sand dunes of Rhosneigr to the elegance of NT Plas Newydd mansion and gardens, or the history of Beaumaris Castle to the family fun of the Sea Zoo.
