About this property

This quality, detached cottage rests close to the beach on the outskirts of Holyhead in North Wales. The whole family can spend some quality time together at Pentowyn, amongst the spacious interior which has been carefully chosen to provide a wonderful experience. Step in beyond the oak ledge doors into the sitting room, featuring a wonderful inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove, as well as a Smart TV with Sky box facilities so you won’t be short of entertainment options. Just behind this inviting setup is a dining table where all can gather during mealtimes. Walk on through into the stunning kitchen, well-appointed and fully integrated with every appliance you could need, combined with navy units and gloss white worktops for a refreshing look. There is also an additional sitting area where you could curl up with a good book and enjoy some me time. Completing downstairs of Pentowyn is a single bedroom served by a bathroom and shower room, providing many options for guests. Continue upstairs to find two more bedrooms, including the fabulous master bedroom with king-size double and superb sea views, along with another single bedroom. The spacious garden is perfect for those family games or relaxing with an evening drink or alfresco meal whilst watching the sun set over the bay. Pentowyn Cottage is a stones throw from an all year round dog friendly Penrhos Beach, perfect for enjoying with your furry friends. Avid walkers will enjoy exploring the Anglesey Coastal Path and the Breakwater Country Park with opportunities for birdwatching and fishing. Holyhead offers a delightful selection of cafes, pubs, restaurants and takeaways that await you, as well as a number of shops worth browsing. The property is within walking distance of the ferry terminal, so day trips to Dublin can be enjoyed across the water. The property is adjacent to a cycle route and the 125 mile coastal path around Anglesey. It is also in an area designated as an AONB. Making this property a scenic getaway in a superb location.

Holyhead is the largest town on the island of Anglesey and is perhaps known best for being a busy ferry port. The town centre offers a number of good places to eat, a theatre and a cinema. There are a range of places for the visitor to stay and Holyhead is often used as an overnight stop on the way to, or from, holidaying in Ireland or as a centre for touring the island of Anglesey itself. Around Holyhead there are also a number of fishing, golfing and, of course, sailing facilities.

Don’t let the fact that the two bathrooms are downstairs put you off. Lovely size garden and ample parking with the beach and costal walks on your door step. Really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time. Even storm Kathleen didn't affect our stay. The garden is enclosed and the dogs loved it. The beach is almost on the doorstep with lots of accessible walks from the cottage. Very well equipped, shops, etc very handy. Would.love to stay during the summer.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Pentowyn. The beach a few steps away. Great for our dog and lovely walks from the doorstep. The cottage was immaculate and everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The garden fully enclosed and spacious. No issues from the campsite next door or the car park. Honestly sad to leave and will definitely book here again.
