About this property

The School House is a wonderful, converted church nestled in the bustling town of Holyhead, on the North West coast of Anglesey. Presented to a delightful standard, The School House is a great choice for couples, families and friends looking to make the most of this scenic region of Wales. The open-plan living space is a wonderful place to socialise, equipped with a range of appliances throughout. Enjoy quick meals at the breakfast bar or set the dining table up for a larger feast, before escaping to the sofas and choosing a film from the Smart TV. The School House offers three bedrooms, each with carpets, fitted storage and wall-mounted Smart TVs, with the master enjoying access to an en-suite shower room. There is also a luxurious family bathroom with freestanding bath and walk-in shower, so you can best decide how to prepare for the day. Holyhead is an excellent holiday base, with the property nestled right next to a shop and a pub, and there are many more tasty eateries available, as well as Holyhead Maritime Museum, Admiralty Arch and access to the Isle of Anglesey Coastal Path. Elsewhere on this scenic Isle there are several beautiful beaches, breath-taking walks and historic sites to visit, as well as a sea zoo and the opportunity to try out watersports and wild swimming. Visit Beaumaris and Caernarfon for their wonderful castles, or if adventure takes you further afield, why not catch the ferry to Dublin and enjoy a day in the Capital of Ireland? However you choose to spend your time, choose The School House for a holiday to remember.

The bustling town of Holyhead rests on the North West coast of the Isle of Anglesey, the largest town on the island and perhaps known best for being the main ferry port to Ireland. Steeped in history, the town boasts the remains of Roman town walls and forts, medieval burial chambers and stone village foundations. Explore the Breakwater Country Park, a former quarry, which offers designated walks through the grounds. The park is full of interesting wildlife, most notably the seals who visit the Holyhead coast, and outlines the amazing construction of the world's longest breakwater, some 1.8 miles, which today protects the harbour. Visit the colourful marina with its yachts and tall ships, or the town's maritime museum, with its tales of 100 shipwrecks in the vicinity. Day trips to Ireland can be enjoyed easily from here, with Dublin just 90 minutes away on the fast ferry. With spectacular cliff top walks over Holyhead Mountain, golden sandy beaches at the award winning Trearddur Bay and the Snowdonia National Park just a 20 minute drive away, this is a superb holiday location, at any time of the year.

Huge tv’s in each bedroom, I know it’s not all about the tv’s but when your teenage child comes on holiday with you he doesn’t want to watch Emmerdale, he wants to play on his playstation and chat to his friends. I’ve always wondered about the heating in old churches, not a problem it was alway lovely and warm. MacDonalds, KFC, Morrison’s, Tesco and a small Asda are less then 5 minute drive away. All in all fabulous

Very high spec and extremely well looked after and clean. It’s an enormous spacious property and would easily accommodate 6 people. The property has everything you could need, especially in the lovely well equipped kitchen. Fantastic that we’ll behaved dogs are allowed in this high spec property! Situated right in the middle of Holyhead with shops, cafes, pubs and the sea front all near by. The only thing that is missing was the lack of shelves in both bathrooms, making it difficult to store anything in them. Fantastic property and will definitely be visiting again
