Guests say

Guests are delighted with Penrallt, praising its prime location in Cemaes Bay, comfortable furnishings, and thoughtful touches like welcome hampers. The property is well-received for its spaciousness, cleanliness, and cosy atmosphere, making it a recommended choice for a relaxing holiday. While minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is positive, with many guests planning to return.

Most guests found the cottage to be very clean, with only one review mentioning cleanliness issues related to animal hair and other aspects. The positive remarks on cleanliness from the majority suggest a high standard is typically maintained.

The location is consistently praised for being perfect, with easy access to local amenities, beaches, and coastal paths. The proximity to the village centre and the peacefulness of the area contribute to its high score.

Guests rave about the comfortable beds and cosy atmosphere of the cottage. The spaciousness and homely feel contribute to the comfort experienced by visitors, with only minor suggestions for improvement.

Facilities are generally well-received, with special mentions of the welcome hamper and games console. However, points are deducted for reported maintenance issues such as leaks, shower problems, and the need for better locks on bathroom doors.

The thoughtfulness of the owners is frequently highlighted, particularly regarding the welcome hampers. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it's important to note that such extras, while common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The house is on the High Street, it’s a holiday home and has signs of the usual wear and tear, but goodness me the facilities are second to none, the beds so comfortable and I don’t think Mike and Cheryl can do one more thing that can make it more your home from home. Cannot recommend it highly enough. We had a medical emergency at home and had to leave in the middle of our holiday, the support from our hosts was superb and they even refreshed the house, in case we were able to return, we were told “ .. just to drop everything and go..” when I apologised for not being able to tidy the house to our usual standard. The freezer door would not close, it was sorted by the time we returned. There’s a cottage we’ve stayed in a few times where I have reported the same fault over a three year period and nothing has happened, this is the difference with Penrallt, the whole emphasis is on you having a lovely holiday. In Cemaes Bay how can you help it? A stunning village on wonderful Anglesey and this house is a gem open, light, comfortable, warm, spacious, clean, no parking (directly to the front) but a free (free) car park in the next street! There is a parking bay opposite, but we only managed parking there once, absolutely no problem and you can pack and load your car even without a space, the chicane creates a little bay where you can tuck in. The house is superb like it’s hosts.

The house is centrally located with a short walk to the beach. The house is spacious with comfortable beds. An amazing welcome pack which we all enjoyed. It was clean and the fairy lights made it inviting when we walked in from a dark rainy day. A little decorative maintenance is needed but didn't affect our stay. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
