About this property

This traditional, listed 18th century stone holiday cottage on the north west coast of Anglesey takes advantage of its elevated position over the bay with fantastic sweeping sea views. All the rooms feel so spacious and bright with comfortable furnishings. Whether you are cosying up in front of the woodburning stove watching the crashing waves, or enjoying the summer sunshine and the sparkling bay, you just cannot beat this location.

The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment and microwave. The dining area has a round farmhouse style table.

The bright sitting room has a vaulted ceiling and large picture windows looking out over the bay with comfortable sofas, a TV and wood burning stove.

There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The spacious shower room has a walk in shower cubicle, hand basin and loo.

The lawned area to the rear has a bench to allow you to sit outside and take in the view.

It is just a ten minute stroll down to the nearest beach. Or a ten minute drive to Church Bay with its popular places to eat at the Wavecrest and the Lobster Pot. You could even stretch those legs and walk it with a reward of something cold and refreshing on the balcony at the Church Bay Inn.

Please note that only small non shedding dogs are allowed.

The small village of Llanfaethlu nestles close to the stunning, north west coastline of Anglesey. Amidst spectacular cliffs and sandy beaches, this unassuming village provides a local shop and Post Office, whilst nearby Church Bay boasts a superb seafood restaurant. Wales' only working windmill is within easy reach, providing an opportunity to see corn being ground the old fashioned way, whilst the surrounding countryside boasts excellent fishing, birdwatching and coastal walks, with climbing on offer in Snowdonia. Indulge in fabulous watersports, including kitesurfing, diving and sailing at the stunning Rhosneigr beach, or enjoy 18 holes at a choice of three local golf courses. Spend the day at Anglesey Sea Zoo, visit the historic town of Beaumaris with its medieval castle and array of shops and restaurants, take a boat trip past Plas Newydd Country House or indulge in a day trip to Ireland. A wonderful, all year round holiday location.

On all three occasions we were in the system, queuing, for over forty minutes. We had to decide whether or not we still went Penrallt, but we really needed the break so we decided to go. We were forearmed so we took with us a large TV, padding for the sofa (a sun bed cushion), extra cushions, an outdoor table, Febreze, cleaning stuff and a potato peeler. However, the owner had addressed most of the issues highlighted in the poor review and there was a potato peeler in virtually every drawer! Brand new patio chairs were in place and the curtains had been cleaned (we think). Overall, given our concerns, we were really surprised and pleased with the cottage. However, the sofa is incredibly uncomfortable and thank goodness for the cushions we took with us. The TV is small, but not awful. On the plus side, the view is spectacular. We set our picnic table up in the window and ordered food to be delivered from Book a Cook Wales and we had the finest meals you could imagine. The cottage is just a ten minute walk to a lovely cove, the location is quiet and it is super warm. The beds are comfy and it was, overall, very clean. The owner had supplied binoculars which was a really thoughtful touch. Normally, we change cottages each year but, if that sofa is changed, we would happily book again. At the end of the day, at the price per week of this cottage, comfortable seating is not a big ask.

There is a wonderful view out to sea from the lounge. It has a large lawn to rear which is a great space for sitting out when the weather is warm & dry. It is a 2 bedroom property and the kitchen had been equipped with a family or 4 adults in mind and we felt a few key items were missing such as any smaller saucepans or a non-stick pan. Other than that this is an excellent property and we would recommend it heartily for either summer or winter breaks

Lovely beach just 10 minute walk away. Lovely clean and spacious cottage with a wonderful large garden. Only things that could be improved are as follows 1.the uncomfortable furniture in the living room 2. the small tv 3. the gap in the fence that makes the garden not dog proof.
