Penelope is a well-regarded cottage in Benllech, praised for its cleanliness, comfortable furnishings, and prime location close to shops and the beach. Guests appreciate the secure garden, especially those with dogs, and the property's quiet setting. While some guests missed having a washing machine and Wi-Fi, the overall sentiment is positive with many looking forward to returning.
Guests consistently note the cottage's immaculate condition, with special mentions of the quality and scent of the linen. The housekeeper is commended for her responsiveness and the property's overall tidiness.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its proximity to local shops, restaurants, and a sandy beach, despite the uphill return. The quiet cul-de-sac setting and the ease of exploring Anglesey from this base are also appreciated.
The comfort of the beds and the general homeliness of the bungalow are frequently mentioned. However, some guests found the mattresses too firm and the seating area in the garden less inviting, slightly affecting the score.
While the kitchen and other amenities are well-received, the absence of a washing machine and Wi-Fi is a recurring point of contention. Some guests also noted minor maintenance issues, such as the need for updated heating and hot water systems.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, therefore this category cannot be scored.

Kitchen very well equipped indeed. Beds and settees comfortable. Within 5mins walk of 3 "convenience" supermarkets and a pharmacy. Easy 10mins walk to beach, uphill back though...or park in residential road 2 mins away from fabulous beach. Very quiet and pleasant area. Only negative is no WiFi and intermittent phone signal at the property. Maps and info wouldn't always load as needed, to plan outings.

The enclosed garden felt secure and there was space for everyone. Being so close to shops, takeaways and a pet shop is ideal, and only a short walk from the beach. Including WiFi would be my only suggestion.
