Glanrhyd Uchaf is a well-loved cottage praised for its stunning views, comfortable furnishings, and tranquil location. Guests enjoy the private access to the beach and the spacious, homely feel of the property. The presence of RAF Valley adds a unique touch with fly pasts. Some guests mentioned minor issues but were overall delighted with their stays, often returning or planning to return.
The property generally meets expectations for cleanliness, but there are instances of dust, cobwebs, and unsatisfactory bathroom conditions noted by some guests. These appear to be isolated rather than systemic issues, as other reviews praise the cleanliness.
The location is highly regarded for its beauty, tranquility, and views, with private beach access and proximity to local attractions. The presence of RAF Valley is a unique aspect that most guests enjoy, though some find the noise of jets to be a minor irritation.
Guests find the property comfortable, with cosy furnishings and a homely atmosphere. The beds are comfortable, and the property layout is appreciated. Some minor suggestions for improvements are made, but overall, the comfort level is high.
The property is well-equipped with kitchen facilities, garden furniture, and a boot room. However, some guests suggest the addition of a tumble dryer and improvements to garden furniture. Maintenance issues like the state of the access track and some wear and tear are noted.
While guests mention a welcome pack, the contents and reception of this gesture vary, and it is not consistently referenced across reviews. As such, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness based on the available information.

Only tiny negative was the welcome pack was a tad on the light sideâ¦..and directions to property were very confusing, we chose to come a day after we booked for simple reason so we came during daylight hours would never have found it in darkness maybe in the winter you could let people get into property at 3 instead of 5 due to challenging track to propertyâ¦but apart from that it was a fab place

Second holiday feel we know the place now.

There are many things that need to be done to justify the increase. 1. Cleanliness: drawers, corners, cobwebs, door tops, lamp shades etc 2. New sofa required in lounge to replace the leather one. 3. Information in folder needs updating. 4. Inadequate cleaning products, inadequate supply of toilet rolls. 5. A very unsatisfactory welcome pack. Milk and 2 packs of Welsh cakes really is an insult when one is spending upwards of £2400 to stay. 6. No washing line found. Disappointed there is no tumble dryer. We have enjoyed our stay. The house is in a beautiful position with excellent views across the Cymyran Strait. The above points definitely need to be addressed to justify the increase in price.
