Guests say

Ty Carmel in Llanerchymedd is a well-received holiday cottage, praised for its sociable kitchen space, comfortable and sizeable bedrooms, and stunning views. Guests enjoyed the property's cleanliness, ample facilities including a hot tub, and its suitability for large groups. While there were minor issues with maintenance and cleanliness in some areas, the overall experience was positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The property generally received high marks for cleanliness, with most areas described as spotless. However, there were isolated comments about a dirty shower drain plug and less-than-immaculate en suite bathrooms, which slightly affected the score.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views and central position on Anglesey, making it convenient for exploring the island. No negative comments about the location were noted.

Guests found the property to be warm, cosy, and spacious, with super comfy beds and a relaxing hot tub. There was a single mention of a bed on bricks and missing slats, but this seems to be an exception rather than the rule.

The property is well-equipped and maintained, with a special mention of the kitchen and hot tub. However, there were reports of a cold hot tub on the first day and some maintenance issues like a bed on bricks, which suggests room for improvement.

While the reviews reflect a positive experience, there is no specific mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

About this property

Rhosneigr 9.5 miles. This luxurious, detached farmhouse is located in the heart of Anglesey, within a 20 minute easy drive of many beautiful beaches and cliff walks, and close to the beautiful Llyn Alaw reservoir with SSSI designation and unspoilt lakeside trails, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Having been completely renovated to a superb, high standard, and elegantly styled throughout, this former farmhouse enjoys spacious rooms with high ceilings, and many original character features have been retained, including a stained glass feature hall window, original wooden doors and the Victorian tiled floor in the entrance porch. Enthusiastic chefs in your party will relish the superbly-equipped open kitchen/diner with preparation island, two double ovens, dishwasher, double fridges and drinks coolers, whilst others relax in the dining area keeping you company and enjoying the delightful rural views through the bay window and patio doors. After dinner, retire to the spacious and stylish sitting room across the hall, where the socialising can continue around the warming woodburner long into the evening. Guests can then retire to one of the six sumptuous bedrooms, four of which benefit from private, luxury en-suite bathroom facilities. The gardens offer a peaceful escape where you can sit and enjoy the tranquillity of the area and the far-reaching country views towards the peaks of Snowdon, whilst the children play on the lawn. The luxurious hot tub is the ideal place to unwind with a relaxing soak, whilst enjoying a glass of wine and a good book, after a tiring day exploring the fantastic surrounding area. Numerous activities are available nearby, from clay pigeon shooting and fishing, to go-karting and horse riding, or for the more energetic, why not try your hand at kite-surfing in Rhosneigr, coasteering in Trearddur Bay, or challenge the indoor climbing wall at Llanfair PG? A short drive will bring you to one of the many golden sandy beaches and unspoilt coves that cover the 125 mile coastline of the island and give you and the children hours of pleasure exploring rock pools in undiscovered bays. Whatever you're looking for, there is something for everyone to enjoy on the island, and you'll want to return again and again to this fantastic property.

Situated on the beautiful west coast of Anglesey and famous for its spectacular cliffs and magnificent sandy beaches, Rhosneigr is a popular seaside village. With a diverse history, this village is the setting for tales of smugglers and famous off-shore shipwrecks as well as being a popular holiday resort in the Edwardian era. Best known now for its excellent water sports facilities, the area offers tuition in both windsurfing and kitesurfing. Other local activities include fishing, sailing, sand yachting, wreck diving and golf. Rhosneigr itself offers several pubs, restaurants and shops whilst the market towns of Llangefni and Holyhead - starting point for Dublin day trips – are both nearby. The bedrooms were a great size and super comfy beds! We were impressed with the ever flowing hot water as with 10 ladies after outdoor activities we wanted to all shower and there was enough hot water for us all! We spent most of our time in the kitchen as it is such a sociable space!
