The Art Deco House in Menai Bridge is praised for its excellent location, spacious layout, and comfortable beds, making it an ideal base for exploring Anglesey and North Wales. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, stylish décor, and proximity to local amenities. While some mention minor maintenance issues and occasional lapses in cleanliness, most found the property cosy and enjoyable. The outdoor space and parking are added bonuses, and the property is well-suited for families and groups. Overall, guests enjoyed their stays and many expressed a desire to return.
Cleanliness received mixed feedback. Several guests found the property clean and tidy, but a notable number reported issues such as dust, cobwebs, stained toilets, and insufficient cleaning in kitchens and bathrooms. Some guests felt the property needed a deeper clean and more attention to detail, while others were satisfied with the standards.
The location is consistently praised, with guests highlighting its proximity to shops, restaurants, pubs, and scenic walks. The central position in Menai Bridge and easy access to Anglesey and North Wales attractions are frequently mentioned as major positives.
Guests generally found the house comfortable, with many complimenting the beds, spacious rooms, and cosy atmosphere. Some noted minor issues such as noise from the road or windows, but overall comfort levels were high and the property was suitable for families and groups.
Facilities are well regarded, with a large kitchen, two bathrooms, WiFi, and parking. However, recurring issues with the washing machine, occasional maintenance needs (e.g., blinds, decking, lighting), and requests for more crockery and towels were noted. Most guests found the amenities sufficient for a pleasant stay.
Some guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as a welcome bottle of Prosecco, but others noted a lack of welcome packs or extra towels. Please note that gifts or extras are not guaranteed and may not be provided for every stay.
This wonderfully unique Art Deco home is centrally-located in the town of Menai Bridge, near the coast just over the Telford Bridge on Anglesey. A semi-detached cottage with original period features and Art Deco-styling throughout, this beautifully-presented cottage provides light, airy and spacious accommodation that the whole family will enjoy. Approaching the cottage through an enclosed front patio from your private parking, you enter into a marble floored hallway, with the main sitting room to your left, furnished with contemporary Art Deco fixtures and furniture, which continue through the whole property. The kitchen and dining area are to the rear of the property and have been styled with a mirror tiled splash back, range cooker, and black and white floor tiles to complement the kitchen units.
Patio doors lead out onto decking with subtle LED lighting, offering a superb woodland lit area to chill out with a refreshing drink long into the evening. A ground floor bathroom has been similarly styled to continue the Art Deco theme and boasts a walk-in wet room shower. Three stylish bedrooms upstairs offer two king-size bedrooms and a double bedroom, with a further family bathroom with claw foot bath and walk in shower, making this an ideal cottage for a group of adults to enjoy. Menai offers a wide selection of shops and art galleries, along with an excellent waterfront restaurant and welcoming pubs.
The delights of Snowdonia are only a short drive, ideal for walking, climbing and mountain biking, or join the Anglesey Coastal Path which runs almost past the front door, and follow it along the coast where you can admire and take in outstanding views and scenery. This superb Art Deco cottage is an excellent destination for Menai town and the delights of Anglesey.
The Menai Strait is the stretch of water separating the Isle of Anglesey from the Welsh mainland. Often a brilliant blue, these shallow tidal waters are crossed by two bridges, allowing easy access to the attractions of Anglesey and the mainland. The location is fabulous, very easy to walk to shops restaurants and down to the water. Own parking which is really good. We had a slight issue with the boiler but the owner was very responsive and it was easily rectified. What lets this house down was the cleanliness. We had to wipe down the leather sofas( drinks splashes etc), the travel cot , and the washing machine was awful, full of scum and possibly pet hair, it is now gleaming after we cleaned it all as we needed it for the baby.Unfortunately there were only 5 plates and some items were chipped, mismatching etc.It sleeps 6 so should have at least that many plates , we had visitors for tea and they had to bring own plates. These things are a quick win and would have made a big difference.

15 as it was still being cleaned so all floors were still wet on arrival. No real complaints about the house, kitchen was a great size, beds clean and comfortable. Outside patio could do with a bit of tlc and shrubs cut back. House is conveniently placed for all amenities. Overlooks a brick wall and church so no real view but we didnât spend too much time in the property so didnât affect us that much. Parking for two cars up a narrow driveway so brush up on your reversing skills! Overall not bad for the price.
