The property generally maintains a good standard of cleanliness, though some guests noted areas needing a deep clean, particularly in corners, skirting, and bathrooms. There were also mentions of unclean appliances and the need for a more thorough clean in some parts.

The cottage is well-positioned for exploring Anglesey and nearby attractions, with guests finding the location convenient. Proximity to local amenities and dining options is also appreciated, although some guests noted road noise.

Guests find the beds very comfortable and the living spaces ample for relaxation. However, some guests mentioned issues with seating comfort and the need for additional chairs for larger groups.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owners towards the guests, therefore a score cannot be provided.

About this property

Fron is a large holiday house in a fab location; it offers the peacefulness of a residential area, but is also within walking distance of Menai Bridge, a fab coastal town on Anglesey. Inside is welcoming and there’s plenty of room for the whole family - or a group of friends staying together if you prefer! The delights of Anglesey and the rest of North Wales are all easily accessible.

The kitchen has all you need with an electric oven and gas hob, dishwasher, combination microwave oven, warming oven, microwave, toaster and breakfast bar. The utility room opposite is where you’ll find the fridge/freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer.

The sitting room is a good size and has three sofas, an electric flame-effect gas fire (currently not in use) and a Smart TV.

There is also a seating area in the conservatory with comfortable sofas. There’s a dining table and chairs to the other end, next to patio doors which open onto the garden.

On the ground floor is a twin bedroom. Also on this floor is a cloakroom with loo and wash hand basin.

Upstairs there are four further bedrooms - one king size with en suite containing a shower, loo and wash hand basin. There’s a further two double bedrooms and a single bedroom.

The family bathroom is upstairs and has a bath with hand held shower attachment, separate shower, loo and wash hand basin.

Outside you will find both a back and side garden with a patio, lawn and shrubs. Sit out here and enjoy your morning cup of tea or coffee, or a glass of wine come the evening. There is parking for two cars on the driveway.

Fron is a holiday cottage in a brilliant location, not far from the A55 making it ideal for those travelling from North West England. This delightful town sits right on the edge of the Isle of Anglesey and is home to one of two bridges to mainland Wales. It is an ideal base for a holiday and is great for exploring this beautiful island. It has a strong history which can be discovered in the Menai Bridge Heritage Museum, the well known Saint Tysilio lived on Church Island, just off of Anglesey in the 9th century, hence the name of the 14th century St. Tysilio's Church. Menai Bridge itself offers a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants to enjoy. All bedrooms were big with plenty of wardrobe space.Kitchen had loads of crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils + lots of space in the utility room. Things that would improve our rating: Tumble dryer did not dry and there was no line and the airer was also broken. Although the property was clean there were marks on the lounge carpet and sofa and it looked grubby. The sofas weren't very comfy, bath towels were on the small size and we had asked for a cot which was provided but no cot mattress. Disappointed there was no loo rolls or soaps. Surprised that there was no information book about the house or local area.

This could be lovely with a bit of an update & maintenance but sadly the owners haven’t taken any notice of previous feedback. Toilet seat ( sounds a little thing I know ) still doesn’t fit so you are sitting on the bowl itself. Main shower is mouldy & the hose is broken. Kitchen is ill equipped for 9 people self catering. Carpets were absolutely filthy/stained. Instructions for the microwave would have been helpful too.

A little maintainence needed such as dryer heats but doesn’t tumble, Ensuite toilet flush is very poor, main bathroom toilet seat doesn’t fit so will not stay up for men to use, kitchen sink water goes down drain very slowly. Apart from these minor details we enjoyed the spacious well equipped house.
