The fantastic island of Anglesey has 125 miles of coastline to explore, and you’ll be spoilt for choice along the way as to which beaches and famous sites to visit. There are miles of coastal paths to explore where you can take in the magnificent scenery whilst spotting the local wildlife. Moelfre is steeped in maritime history and still has a working lifeboat station as well as a Seawatch Centre, and direct access to the 125-mile coastal path that encompasses the whole island. There are also plenty of opportunities to take part in water sports or fishing nearby, with the small shingle beach in the village having public access for boats. Nearby sandy beaches include those at Benllech and Lligwy.
The fabulous resort of Benllech is a firm favourite for families and couples wanting to enjoy a coastal break. The lovely beach, just over 4 miles away is an all-round favourite, with its resident seals that frolic along the coastline help to create a holiday to remember. Here you will find plenty of cafés and restaurants. Nearby Red Wharf Bay also offers a good choice of eating establishments. Explore all that this lovely island has to offer including the Anglesey Sea Zoo, Pili Palas Butterfly Palace and Plas Newydd. Newborough Forest is a must visit while on the Island just over 30 minutes’ drive away, one of the most important red squirrel conservation sites in the United Kingdom. The forest backs onto a beautiful beach, from where you can walk onto Llanddwyn Island (Ynys Llanddwyn), a magical place located at the far end of the beach near Newborough Warren.

Lovely clean, comfortable, well equipped cottage which we found perfect for our weekend break. Friendly hosts. Easy access to the Coastal Path for walks and a good base for visiting other parts of the island.

Lovely accommodation with all amenities. My only comment is that it was a bit of a guessing game, using the oven, as all the controls were worn off.

We had a lovely stay at Bryn Awelon Bach. This property is clean, and comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen and more importantly warm - just what was needed for a long autumn weekend away. The property is in a great location with some amazing views and only a 20 minute stroll away from the beach. Mary and Gary were great hosts and were happy to share their knowledge of the area from coastal walks to good places to eat.
