There are several historical sites within an easy drive, including the Neolithic Lligwy Burial Chamber, the Din Lligwy and the ruined chapel of Capel Lligwy. Due to its coastal location, there are plenty of trails all within easy reach for those keen walkers and cyclists among you, boasting far-reaching views across the countryside and coastline. Moelfre, a charming seaside community with little cottages, a scenic port, a beach, lovely views of Snowdonia, a functioning lifeboat, and two excellent pubs/restaurants, is located on the lovely east coast of Anglesey. Discover magnificent cliff-top treks with breath-taking mountain views, enjoy fishing or observing sea birds, seals, or even dolphins, or visit the wildly popular local Seawatch Centre. The sad Royal Charter shipwreck in 1859 was the most recent of the village's many historical connections. Benllech, Lligwy, and the picturesque Red Wharf Bay, with its miles of open dunes and birds, are beautiful sandy beaches that are close by. A great starting point for exploring this wonderful island and stunning Snowdonia.
