1 The Quay offers guests a spacious and comfortable stay with breathtaking views over Red Wharf Bay. The location is highly praised for its tranquillity, proximity to the beach, and easy access to local pubs and restaurants. Many guests enjoyed relaxing on the balconies and appreciated the well-equipped kitchen. While the property is generally comfortable, some reviews mention areas needing refurbishment and improved cleanliness. Thoughtful touches such as welcome packs were appreciated by several guests. Overall, the property provides excellent value for money and a memorable holiday experience.
Cleanliness received mixed feedback. Several guests found the property clean and comfortable, but others reported issues such as inadequate deep cleaning, mould in bathrooms, and leftover items from previous guests. While some stays were spotless, there were enough negative comments to suggest inconsistency in cleaning standards.
The location is consistently described as stunning, with beautiful views over the bay, peaceful surroundings, and close proximity to the beach, walking paths, and local amenities. Guests frequently highlight the setting as a major highlight of their stay.
Guests generally found the property spacious and comfortable, with cosy seating and beds. However, some mentioned lumpy mattresses, inadequate window coverings, and noise from fire doors. Despite these issues, most guests enjoyed a restful stay.
The house is well-equipped with kitchen essentials and offers ample space, but several reviews note that some fittings and equipment are dated or in need of repair, such as broken chairs, faulty blinds, and a problematic oven. Maintenance could be improved to enhance the overall experience.
Many guests appreciated thoughtful touches such as welcome packs with wine, milk, and cake, which made them feel at home. However, please note that these gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We all really enjoyed our stay. Absolutely stunning location, watching the tides changing the view from the balconies and wide windows. A spacious building, very well equipped kitchen (apart from a faulty microwave). Nice welcome pack, wine and Bara Brith.3 bedrooms have sea views, the bunk room is at the back, but gives the advantage of not having sunrise blasting through the inadequate blinds. Beds comfortable apart from bunks, they need mattress toppers at least. The top floor en suite bedroom has its own balcony, and is delightful luxury. The furnishings are classically stylish, leather seating, lots of useful cushions, nice rugs; we liked the paintings. Lots of stairs, as the kitchen, living rooms are on the first floor. Bedrooms on ground floor REALLY need replacement blinds/curtains, as they are at street level. In one room the blind was broken, and wouldn't close. Unacceptable really, one guest woke to find someone looking into her bedroom from the street! It's on the Coast Path, there are people passing on foot all hours. Our only complaint, otherwise we loved the house. Would be good to have blankets available in the bedrooms, bedding is very lightweight, & we had frosty mornings. (2 in living room, presumably for balcony).Fire doors clanking shut were like bullet shots, need earplugs for a lie in.Lovely pub, minutes walk away, great food and staff, Ship Inn. Coast walks fantastic, sandy beach just round corner. Check tide tables! Would come again.

Stunning location. The owner had left a 'welcome pack' including tea, coffee, milk, a bottle of wine and a delicious Bara Brith cake. The house is clean, spacious and comfortable. There were some minor issues to address, but communication was always quick and helpful. Overall, a lovely place and we'd stay again.

After we booked our stay here we saw some rather negative reviews. However on arrival we were really pleasantly surprised. The apartment was really clean, the furniture comfortable and kitchen very well equipped. One of the reviews mentioned black mould in the en suite shower and this is still an issue and needs sorting. The views are beautiful and the apartment is very large. Whilst we were there the electric gates to the property jammed shut. We reported it to the booking agent and they tried to contact the owners by phone but got no answer so e mailed them. Later that day the gates were open and then would not close. There is a side gate which you can walk through to get out but is a different locking system to the car park gates so could not get back through. Fortunately there is a key to the downstairs bedroom patio doors on the key ring so gained access to the property that way. Think this problem needs addressing, code for side gate could be provided and maybe a phone number for the gate maintenance company. This did not ruin our stay and if we ever return to Red Wharf would stay here again
