About this property

This converted annex has been cleverly designed to make a light, contemporary and comfortable holiday home. It has the most gorgeous views over Pentraeth beach where you can often watch horses galloping on the sands, or look out for the various waterfowl, including the owners own collection of geese!

The sitting room is a lovely open planned space with a comfortable seating area that makes the most of the views over the bay. There is a wall mounted Smart TV and a clever folding leaf dining table so you can maximise the open space.

Straight through the sliding doors you have a lovely raised balcony area with outdoor seating.

The kitchen is compact but fully functional with everything that you could need from a full sized electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge and compact freezer located under the stairs.

There is a washing machine and dryer housed in a utility space under the exterior terrace.

There are two en-suite double bedrooms, one with a sink positioned in the room. Both en-suites have a bath, hand held shower attachment, loo and towel radiator. Please note that the baths are positioned in the eaves so care and attention is needed when getting in and out. A sturdy handle has been placed to assist you if needed. There is shared wardrobe space located between the two rooms.

There is off street parking for two cars.

Pen y Prys is in such a peaceful spot, and with a variety of walks on your doorstep you don’t need to think about getting in the car. You are right on the coastal path which is perfect for exploring the stunning coastline and you have access to the forest where you might spot a red squirrel. Alternatively, take a stroll over to Red Wharf Bay for a bite to eat in the popular Ship Inn.

Along the northeast coast of Anglesey is the very large (4.5 mile-long) bay of Red Wharf Bay; its Welsh name of Traeth Coch (Red Beach) rining true as the area is renowned for its glorious sunsets. The bay is very shallow, and at low tide almost 10 square miles of sand is uncovered to provides safe bathing, perfect for family fun, fishing and miles of stunning, scenic walks. The large bay attracts a huge number of waterfowl and wading birds, including shell duck, grey plover, purple sandpipers, curlew, oystercatchers and dunlin. Only 3 miles away is the delightful medieval town of Beaumaris, which boasts a 13th century moated castle, lovely buildings housing excellent shops, olde-worlde pubs, restaurants, bistros, museums, as well as a golf course and exciting pleasure boat and sea fishing trips. This is a beautiful location on the east coast of the picturesque Isle of Anglesey.

Throughout the week, John checked in with us in a perfectly friendly and unobtrusive way. The house is a perfect snug to enjoy the surroundings from. From the views and location to the ducks to the supply of eggs, it's huge thanks to John and James. Recommended!!

We had a lovely holiday here and would recommend for anyone. Lots to do in the area, local beaches are great. A tip for school holidays, get parked up early, the beach car parks get busy! We fell in love with the ducks! Great entertainment in the mornings and evenings.
