About this property

Cae Llyn is a holiday house in an incredible seaside location overlooking the sandy beach at Rhoscolyn on Anglesey. You will be hard-pushed to find another house in a better location if you’re after a family seaside break! Cae Llyn is full of character and history - happy holidays are sure to be had here.

The entrance hall offers a place for coat storage, flip flops, sandals, wellies or walking boots!

The dining room doubles as a dining room! It is set in the centre of the downstairs space and includes a round dining table with seating for up to eight people. There’s also an open fire a space with seating - ideal for soaking up the glorious outlook through the windows.

The main sitting room is spacious and has multiple seating options around an open fire and flat screen TV. There are also a collection of DVD’s that you’re free to watch.

The kitchen has a large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and all the bits and bobs you need for cooking up a storm!

There’s a breakfast room next to the kitchen that has a dining table and chairs. There is also access from here onto a sheltered patio and BBQ area.

The utility room has a washing machine, dryer, Belfast sink. A deep freeze and drying lines, too.

On the ground floor there are two bedrooms with king sized beds, both sporting gorgeous views! One of these has an ensuite shower room with loo and basin. The other just has a wash basin.

Also on the ground floor is a spacious family bathroom with shower over, loo, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

On the first floor are two twin rooms, both with even better views than the rooms downstairs. Again, one of these rooms has a wash hand basin in it. Between these twin rooms is a play room with a TV and DVD player (please note this TV doesn’t work as a TV - it’s just for playing DVD’s).

Surrounding Cae Llyn is a two-acre garden which borders a secluded cove with its own private access - this is only metres from the house. The garden has rock outcrops, heather and areas of flat mown grass, as well as a stream with a bridge over it. A children’s paradise! Whilst the children play hide and seek, the adults can relax with a book and listen to the sound of the waves lapping on the shore. There is also a hot shower and loo in the garden, ideal for washing off the sand and seawater after a dip and before heading back inside! There’s plenty of off road parking, too.

Rhoscolyn beach has views over to Snowdonia and the Llŷn Peninsula - from here you get to experience some beautiful views that encompass some of the best bits of North Wales. There is a gastro pub called The White Eagle within walking distance, which is an added bonus!

The Anglesey coastal path is also close by, so fantastic walks are close by. Attractions, activities and places to eat and drink are also not hard to find in this popular part of Anglesey. Whether a family wanting an action-packed holiday, or friends looking for a group getaway, you’ll find the perfect place to stay in Cae Llyn.

Located on Holy Island, three miles from Trearddur Bay, Rhoscolyn is a small village with a church and primary school and is the most southerly place on Holy Island. Rhoscolyn also offers an excellent pub on the lane down to the beach, which is renowned for its gastro food, and the beach itself with its slipway, ideal for small dinghies and power boats, is a popular family destination throughout the summer owing to the sheltered cove and gently sloping sands. Also excellent cliff-top walks can be enjoyed and an abundance of wildlife can be seen, often including seals on the headland. Just two miles away is the village of Valley, which has a Post Office, chemist, shops and eating places, plus the nearby resort of Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of the island and is truly beautiful with a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine Blue Flag sandy beaches. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, supermarkets, harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. Watersports, bathing, sailing, windsurfing and horse riding are the main activities in the summer months, plus golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course, and the area is also a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse rspb Reserve. An excellent location with plenty to see and do!
