About this property

Tyn Towyn is a holiday cottage complex in Trearddur Bay, Anglesey. It has been finished to an exceptionally high standard and no stone has been left unturned. You are a short walk to the main beach which has beautiful views and close to all the restaurants and amenities Trearddur Bay has to offer.

Ty Pwis in English is known as Purple House due to it’s fabulous door and in our opinion one of our favourite cottages of the development. There is lovely floor to ceiling windows that lets the sun flood in. The cottage is welcoming, warm and modern. Much thought and care has gone into Ty Pwis.

The kitchen and breakfast bar is next to the dining table and chairs. With a fully equipped kitchen to cook a gastronomic meals for friends or family.

The sitting area has a lovely stone fireplace with flatscreen TV and big comfy sofas.

There are three bedrooms upstairs. Two double bedrooms with TV and a small single bedroom.

Two bathrooms with shower, loo and wash hand basin. One on each floor.

There is a internet room on site as well as wifi in the cottages. There is ample parking for cars and plenty of space to relax outside in the beautiful grounds, with young trees and raised flower beds.

Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse rspb Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!

Place was comfortable and welcoming. The fact that the weather was superb made it a glorious week. Would love to come back and would recommend it to others. Loved the peace and quiet and the lovely sitting area. The men working around the property... getting it ready and watering all the plants were all so friendly which added to our enjoyment... well done, lovely place

Beds were like ice boxes to get into & took 2 days to air. Radiators on low. Information in house book said not to touch the radiator controls but to use the overall dial in the hall. There isn't 1. Apparently the information is wrong for that cottage. We found this out by phoning the caretaker. It took at least first 2 days to get the house anywhere near comfortably warm. We have been twice before & liked it. The maintenance & cleaning isn't kept up with because it's company owned along with the rest of the complex ? ( by Sykes?) & so noone seems to take personal care of the place. It appears the cottages have been in little use over the winter. People still turn up outside in cars & let their dogs out to foul the adjacent grass area. Information is incorrect about no under 14' s. Children are there.Having said all of that, the house has got all the basic ingredients of a good base for treaddur bay.
