Guests say

Guests appreciate the Tyn Towyn - Ty Gwyrdd Golau for its cleanliness, prime location near the beach and restaurants, and the peaceful environment. The welcome gifts and thoughtful touches are well-received, though some guests suggest that the smaller cottages can feel a bit cramped. A few guests mentioned issues with heating and provided amenities, but overall, the property offers a cosy and comfortable stay with ample parking and easy access to Anglesey and Snowdonia.

Reviews consistently mention the property being clean and tidy, indicating high standards of cleanliness. No negative comments about cleanliness were noted.

The property is praised for its perfect position close to the beach and restaurants, as well as being a good base for exploring the local area, suggesting an excellent location.

The property is described as cosy and comfortable, with one of the beds being particularly commended. However, some guests noted the small size of certain cottages and issues with the softness of a bed, which slightly lowers the comfort score.

While the property is generally well-equipped, guests have mentioned a lack of heating instructions, missing pillow protectors, and a need for defrosting the freezer. These maintenance issues suggest room for improvement in facilities.

Guests are pleased with the welcome gifts such as milk, wine, and bara brith, which show thoughtfulness. However, it should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and may not be provided on every occasion.

About this property

Tyn Towyn - Ty Gwyrdd Golau is a fantastic holiday home located along the coast in Anglesey. Set in the picturesque village of Trearddur Bay on the West of Anglesey, this home is a real delight for couples and friends alike. Part of the Tyn Towyn development that has been finished to an exceptional standard, you are a short walk to the beach, pubs, and restaurants. If you would prefer to relax and not move too far, there are some lovely spots in between the flower beds and young trees to get lost in a good book. Each of the cottages on the development are named after the colour of the front door. In this case, Ty Gwyrdd Golau stands for ‘Light Green House’. It is the smaller of the cottages on site, but it makes up for it in interior and character. The sitting room has a lovely sofa with a flat screen TV and a warming electric fire. The kitchen has everything you need to cook up a storm and is located on the back wall of the open-plan living space. There is a 4” bed upstairs with an adjoining shower room with a walk-in shower, basin, and WC. There is ample parking on the grounds with an internet room, a pretty fountain, and plenty of space to unwind after a long coastal walk. Tyn Towyn - Ty Gwyrdd Golau, a splendid retreat in a fabulous location. Trearddur Bay is situated on the western shore of Holy Island. It’s truly beautiful - a great sweep of low grassy coastline indented with rocky coves and fine sandy beaches (European Blue Flag). Watersports, bathing, sailing and windsurfing are the main activities in the summer months and golfers will enjoy the excellent Holyhead 18 hole links golf course. It’s a great place for nature lovers with renowned birdwatching at the South Stack Lighthouse rspb Reserve and lots of rock pools and cliff top walks to explore. There are shops, pubs and restaurants in Trearddur Bay itself and nearby Holyhead offers a wider range of amenities, including a very good leisure centre, an interesting harbour front, a marina, the world’s second longest breakwater and exciting day trips to Dublin on the ferry. The Maritime Museum in Holyhead has an excellent cafe and the beautiful Holyhead Breakwater Country Park has walks for you to enjoy. Further afield there is the stunning Newborough with its excellent woodland and beach and Beaumaris with its town and castle. A great location with plenty to see and do!
