Just a stone’s throw away are the picturesque harbour towns of Saundersfoot and Tenby, offering an array of boutique gift shops, art galleries and restaurants with freshly caught fish always on the menu. Explore the off-shore island of Caldey and share the serenity and tranquillity of the Cistercian monks, or take a sea safari along the dramatic coast, cruising close to sea birds, seals and the occasional dolphin.
Away from the coast, the rolling countryside is just as promising with its array of traditional market towns dotted around the country including Narberth and Haverfordwest as well as the numerous enchanted sites including Pembroke and Carew Castles. We had a wonderful time in the Buttery, the location and amenities were perfect. Lee the owner was very friendly and showed us the store hut, with hundreds of DVDs, maps, children's outdoor toys, ping pong, Wellies, dog blankets and even slow cooked that you could borrow. I had my almost 2 year old bonkers labrador with us and he loved the closed in field with dog activities. There were plenty of walks to go on and Amroth and Saundersfoot were on our doorstep. The cottage was very cosy and suitable for my 80 year old parents with walking problems. Even a comfy chair for my dad with ease of getting in and out of. The wet room was very good with a nice hot shower. Plenty of fluffy white towels and comfy beds. We will be visiting again soon

The Buttery was one of the best equipped and most comfortable place we have ever stayed. The attention to detail was outstanding. The added bonus of the old wood store was excellent, you could borrow useful items from slow cookers to body boards. Wonderful dod walking facilities with little extras for the fur babies like dog bowls, blankets and treats. Also a useful dog wash facility. The Barra Brith, Welsh Cakes and butter were a lovely touch, plus fresh milk. These little touches make all the difference.There are some beautiful places to visit in the area, but you do really need a car to do the area justice. Amroth is a lovely place, there is not a lot there but there is everything you need, with some nice cafes and pubs serving food. We enjoyed a competitively priced drink in the outside area of the Amroth Arms most days overlooking the beach, really relaxing with very friendly staff.We highly recommend Costal Wood Holidays for your next holiday.
