The Old Vicarage is nestled peacefully within the township of Laugharne. This magnificent Grade II listed Georgian house has been sympathetically restored, enabling the property to retain all of its original attractive features including stone walls, slate and original tiled flooring im some rooms, high ceilings. Welcoming touches have been added such as a wood burner and new Oak flooring to provide a wonderful ambience for cosy nights in.
This charming former vicarage dating back to the 1800’s offers the perfect holiday base for families or groups who are looking to explore the rugged coastline and enchanted sites of west Wales, whilst enjoying an elegant and luxurious home with the added bonus of a private hot tub where you can enjoy star gazing into the night. Enjoy a stroll down onto the Grist where you can see Laugharne Castle, the estuary and enjoy spotting lots of wildlife and birdlife. Alternatively, stroll out to Ginst Point where you can reach 6 miles of golden sands at Pendine beach, made famous by the land speed record achieved here. Within this picture postcard township you can enjoy a plethora of eateries and pubs with locally brewed ales. Follow the steps of Dylan Thomas and visit his writing shed and the Browns Hotel which he frequented.
Each room offers something new to discover, from the snug perfect for a cosy rest in front of the wood burner, to a TV room on the lower ground floor with exposed stone and original salting slabs. Share a hearty family meal and enjoy the grandeur of the elegant dining room where you can open the French doors onto your terrace to dine al-fresco, then curl up in the living room in front of the fire whilst the children are watching a movie downstairs. Each bedroom has plenty of space and has been lovingly furnished to provide a superb night’s sleep, all bedrooms are ensuite with the exception of one that has access to the separate family bathroom with quality fixtures and fittings throughout. Outside, guests can relax in their private hot tub on the terrace, where you can unwind after spending days out on adventures, it’s a real sun trap here too!
South Pembrokeshire’s top beaches are accessible within a 15-minute drive. A trip to Tenby is fun for all the family, with a selection of sandy beaches, shops, cafés and restaurants. The theme parks of Heatherton World of Adventure and Oakwood Theme Park are a great day out, or for younger families take a trip to Folly Farm Zoo, all within 40 minutes’ drive. Beach 1 mile. Shop 250 yards, pub and restaurant 40 yards.
There are steps within the property.
A plentiful supply of logs will be provided for you at the property along with kindling, fire lighters etc.. to allow you to get started. If during your stay you require more logs, please ask the owner for details of local suppliers who you can contact to order more yourselves.
The Aga can be switched on during the summer by request only to the owner.

A very nice place to stay. Very Clean & Amenities were good especially the very nice garden at rear of the house. We all enjoyed the Hot Tub especially the children. lots of towels supplied. Location very good we walked to Laghuane Castle & visited by car Pendine Sands, Amroth, Saundersfoot. We had young children & on return home visited Folly Farm which they enjoyed very much. Also owner was very nice & informative & helpful.. Altogether a lovely experience..

The Old Vicarage at Laugharne is perfect for larger groups. We were there with the whole family, three generations and there is ample living space so everyone can find their own space if they need to. Laugharne is a lovely village with good bars and eateries.The house has a nice reasonably private sunny garden, overlooking the ample car parking from on high, there are about twenty steps from the parking up to the main garden which has a hot tub.The house is well equipped and very clean. On the downside it can only be described as cluttered, perhaps alternatively described as an eclectic collection of stuff. As an example there isn’t room in the large kitchen to store a food delivery in the cupboards! Also, the finish in some areas is a little lacking but doesn’t detract from having a lovely holiday.Overall a lovely house in a lovely location.

Beautiful traditional house classically decorated-a perfect venue for our Xmas gathering. Having the Aga oven lit made the kitchen very cosy. Hot tub in garden was icing on the cake. Kitchen equipment was plentiful if a little unnecessary-leaving little cupboard space for all the food we brought! Just having a selection of good basic equipment would do. Host was always a text message away, very helpful.
