Lynn and Andy were lovely hosts - welcoming but not intrusive, and very helpful when we had car problems. Thank you

There were a few issues but the owners were so easy to get hold of and really helpful. All the bedrooms were spacious and very comfy. Big dining room table and seating areas so we could all sit and spend time together. House and owners were great. However Sykes cottages were awful and impossible to get hold of.

I was there with nine of us for Christmas week when we received a warm greeting on arrival from Lynne and Andrew, the owners, together with a very generous, beutifully wrapped, welcome basket of goodies. There were two large, beautifully decorated Christmas trees, one in the lounge and another in the basement/cocktail bar, which lent a very festive air. Although the weather for most of the week was wet, windy and misty, we were indulging ourselves in the comfort of this lovely old hunting lodge in front of wood burning stoves. Christmas presents were opened in the festive lounge and excellent meals, cooked by the younger members of my family, were eaten in the formal and also festivally decorated dining room. The hit of the week, however, for my family was the basement/cocktail bar, lights lit up on the tree, the wood burning stove kept constantly ablaze, and where with drinks in hand and assorted nibbles we watched films on the TV screen or played games with the great-grandchildren. Another hit with the great-grandchildren, aged 9yrs and 6 years, was the 'snug' where they could play video games on the TV screen leaving the grown-ups to have some respite. There was also a useful outhouse where a bicycle and scooter, given as Christmas presents, could be parked. Brunant has a lovely garden area which in warmer months would be a boon. I can only say that my family spent a great week at Brunant Farm! Mary
