Nestled in the Gwendraeth Fach Valley, between the villages of Llangynderyn (1.5 miles) and Llanddarog (2 miles), this superb, semi-detached stone barn conversion is situated on the owners’ working sheep farm. An ideal base for exploring the surrounding coast and countryside, it is wonderfully tranquil and yet still only 5 miles from fun days at the National Botanic Garden of Wales, Llyn Llech Owain Country Park (6.7 miles E) and Pembrey Country Park (12.7miles SW) which has 500 acres of parkland with forest walks, a dry ski slope, toboggan run and access to Cefn Sidan’s award-winning beach. Cast off at Sylen Lakes (8 miles S) or even explore the many castles located around this beautiful rural area. Llanddarog itself is a lovely village with the White Hart Thatched Inn and a local shop with a post office, set 7 miles from Carmarthen and well worth a visit.

The beautifully presented home from home has a bright, open-plan living space with wonderful floor-to-ceiling windows through which scenic views can be admired. To your right is a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, which flows into a welcoming dining and lounge area, where there is a 50" Smart TV. There is also a single fold-out bed available in this living space, ideal as a ground floor alternate bed. A handy WC completes the layout of the ground floor. A handcrafted oak staircase in the centre of the living space takes you up to a king-size bedroom. This unique bedroom has its own small stairway leading to the bed, and jack-and-jill access to a bathroom with a free-standing bath. Across the landing is a charming twin served by an en-suite shower room. The upstairs rooms are in the eaves of the building, yet remain spacious and are filled with natural light streaming through the skylights.

Outside there is a purpose-built hot tub house where you can relax and enjoy the fantastic views across the valley. Being fully enclosed with its own shower, you can enjoy the hot tub during winter, or it can be opened up to welcome the sun in on the warmer days. Additionally, there is garden furniture and a BBQ so that you can make the most of your surroundings and dine alfresco. Depending on the time of year, you will enjoy seeing sheep in the fields and maybe see a few lambs being born, plus you may wish to wander around the farm and into woodland or try a spot of river fishing. There is private off-road parking for three cars.

- Property on a working quiet sheep farm, lambing takes place within the working farm in and around the 3rd week of March until the end of April, owner happy to share this experience with you if you wish, and come and see our donkeys too

- Regret that there are no electric vehicle charging facilities at the property and will require you to charge your car at the nearest charging point during your stay-the nearest is approximately 7 miles, in Carmarthen at Morrisons, Tesco and all the county council car parks (please check availability and subject to charges)
