Set in the peaceful countryside of Llandeilo on the fringes of the Brecon Beacons National Park, this delightful property offers homely accommodation to large groups of friends and family seeking rural views and tranquillity. The ancient town of Llandeilo is just 2 miles away, meaning trips to the local shop and welcoming pubs are made easy. With the Brecon Beacons (3 miles) nearby, walkers, cyclists and lovers of the outdoors are utterly spoiled with walking trails, natural wonders and varied local wildlife. Enjoy a memorable trip to Dolaucothi (15 miles), the UK’s only Roman gold mine. For more local history, the castles of Dinefwr and Carreg are both within 6.5 miles, while the three ancient cairns at Tair Carn Uchaf are only 9 miles away.
On arrival to this wonderful cottage, take a moment to soak in the surrounding scenery of peaceful woodlands and rolling countryside. The Welsh charm continues as you step into the entrance hall where you can kick off muddy walking boots and hang your coats. A reverse-level design means that two of the property’s three bedrooms are on the ground floor, and the main living space is upstairs, making the most of the rural views. On the ground floor, from the hallway, you’ll find the master king-size bedroom and another spacious bedroom with two double beds. Both rooms are served by the well-appointed family bathroom nearby. The final bedroom is upstairs on the first floor, offering another king-size bed and a family bathroom. When stomachs rumble, the ground-floor kitchen/diner offers all the space and equipment needed to whip up a group feast. Set beneath a vaulted ceiling, the central breakfast bar here is the ideal spot for enjoying the chef’s work. To unwind after dinner, follow the spiral stairs to the first floor where a fantastic lounge space awaits. With more vaulted ceilings, exposed stone walls and a roaring wood burner, this is the social heart of the home. Settle in the comfortable seating, flick on the Smart TV and start planning the next day’s adventure. On warm days, throw open the balcony doors here and let the countryside air flow in.
Outside, a delightful garden space awaits. Laid to lawn and surrounded by greenery, this is the perfect, peaceful spot to unwind in the sun and dine alfresco together using the outdoor furniture. For more outside space that makes the most of the rural views, head to the first-floor balcony, accessed from the lounge. Ample private parking is also available.
