Enjoying a central location in the sleepy rural village of Cilycwm, only steps away from the welcoming village pub, this attractive coach house offers spacious accommodation blending original features and contemporary style. Stroll around the village to see the medieval church and Dolauhirion Bridge, considered to be one of the 12 most beautiful in the world. Enjoy wonderful walks through Cwn Rhaeadr (1 mile), the valley of the waterfalls, where there are trails for all ages and abilities. The bustling market town of Llandovery (4 miles) has a choice of independent stores, cafes and pubs. Visit the Norman castle and picnic at picturesque Llyn y Fan Fach, reputed to be the home of The Lady in the Lake . Hop in the saddle for a mountain bike adventure through the waymarked trails of the Brechfa (18 miles) and Crychan (10 miles) forests. Well worth a visit is the Dolaucothi Gold Mines (8.5 miles) where you can journey underground deep into the drift mines. Situated on the ancient drovers' road through the village, park your car in the courtyard and step through the front door into the cottage where most of the accommodation can be found on the ground floor. The bright and airy kitchen with flagstone floor and whitewashed original stone walls, is filled with natural light from the three roof lights. It is fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable self catering stay, including an electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, and a washing machine. Share meals at the large dining table which easily sits up to eight guests. After supper head through into the cosy living room where sofas are arranged around the large traditional wood burner. Relax in front of the TV or watch a film on the DVD after a long day of exploration. When it s time to retire, two of the bedrooms can be found on the ground floor, both comfortable double rooms, tastefully decorated with bright soft furnishings. The master bedroom is full of light from the French doors leading onto the courtyard garden. The second double bedroom is an inviting space with exposed brick walls and ornamental fireplace. There is a shower room and a family bathroom with bath and separate shower on this floor. Climb the steep loft ladder to the mezzanine level that overlooks the living room. Here you will find twin bedroom with one double and one single beneath the sloping ceiling. Venturing outside, there is a lovely patio garden where you can enjoy your meals alfresco at the patio table or light the BBQ for a relaxed evening meal. There is secure bike storage in the lock up shed. Parking is available for one car in the courtyard. Extra parking can be arranged with the owners of the neighbouring pub.
