About this property

Situated in the Georgian harbour town of Aberaeron; this delightful stone house offers stylish and comfortable accommodation up to four guests with a fabulous and welcoming base to explore the Welsh coastline and hinterland. Walking, cycling and water sports are all within easy reach and you will find a wide range of amenities on the doorstep. The local beach is just 400 metres away, or you can venture further afield to nearby villages like Aberarth (1.5 miles) for refreshing sea swims in Cardigan Bay. With room for four guests and two dogs welcome, this beautifully renovated home is excellent for a family or holiday among friends.

Before taking a moment to admire the elegant stone facade, step inside to a welcoming open-plan living area which feels airy and light thanks to three windows. You’ll have a lounge space with a large plush sofa, armchair, coffee table, wood burner and Smart TV, along with a contemporary kitchen and a dining area. Head up the wooden staircase to reach two tastefully decorated bedrooms – one double and a second which can either be a king-size or a twin as well as a contemporary shower room. Gentle colours and soft linens ensure you’ll sleep like a log after days out exploring. While devoid of a garden or patio, as you step outside into the heart of Aberaeron, where the town itself serves as the garden, the outdoor space of this charming pet-friendly cottage offers a front-row seat to the bustling energy and vibrant tapestry of life that surrounds it.

Aberaeron provides a scenic setting that combines historic allure with a lovely coastal atmosphere, where you can stop by the independent shops, craft centre, quaint cafes and traditional pubs (within 0.5 miles). Take leisurely walks along the seafront then treat yourself to lunch in a seafood restaurant or wander around the harbour (less than 0.5 miles) or the local beach (0.5 miles) and take to the water by kayak if you’re feeling adventurous. Spot the dolphins on a boat trip from the sandy shores of New Quay (7.5 miles) and take a picnic to the beach. Visit the nearby 18th-century National Trust Llanerchaeron (2.5 miles) or take a steam train ride on the Vale of Rheidol Railway (16 miles). Or join the Allt y Graig Woodland Trail (0.5 miles) for dog walks along the old railway track. Cyclists may like to follow the 20-mile Secret Garden Cycle Route, joinable at the Tourist Information Centre (0.5 miles). The National Trust site at Llanerchaeron Estate (3 miles) offers lovely parkland and woodland trails, along with a serene picnic that’s great for picnicking.
