Guests say

4 Pengraig Draw offers spacious, comfortable accommodation in a stunning rural location with beautiful views and easy access to the coastal path and Aberystwyth. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy atmosphere, and the hot tub, which is a highlight for many. While the property is generally functional and provides a great base for exploring the area, some guests have noted that cleanliness and maintenance could be improved. Overall, it is a popular choice for families and groups seeking a relaxing countryside break.

Cleanliness is a recurring concern, with several guests mentioning issues such as leftover items from previous stays, dirty kitchenware, dusty fittings, and insufficient cleaning between guests. However, bedding and towels are generally reported as clean.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful rural setting, spectacular views, and convenient access to both the coastal path and Aberystwyth. Guests consistently highlight the scenery and peaceful surroundings as standout features.

The cottage is described as spacious, cosy, and comfortable, with good-sized bedrooms and plenty of bathrooms. Most guests found the beds and living areas pleasant, though a few mentioned minor issues with maintenance affecting comfort.

Facilities such as the hot tub, kitchen equipment, and bathrooms are appreciated, but several guests report maintenance issues including faulty dishwashers, broken light fittings, leaky showers, and hot tub jets not working. The property is generally well-equipped but would benefit from some updates and repairs.

There are no reports of welcome gifts or thoughtful extras, and some guests noted the absence of basics like tea, coffee, or milk on arrival. Please note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.

In a rural setting but located just 3 miles south of the seaside town of Aberystwyth and with beautiful views of mountains and coast, No 4 Pengraig Draw is furnished and equipped to a very good standard. No 4 Pengraig Draw is a semi-detached cottage boasting spacious accommodation for up to eight people and has the added benefit of a lovely conservatory, as well as a hot tub and a garden (enclosed by a low wall) so that you can enjoy relaxing in this wonderful location.

You can discover clean sandy beaches with clear waters, caves, waterfalls, wild rugged cliffs and so much more. Many of the beaches are dog friendly year round if you are bringing your pet on holiday. There are fabulous coastal walks across the headlands to secret coves rarely visited except by birds and the ghosts of ancient smugglers. The pretty coastal towns of New Quay and Aberaeron are well worth exploring and offer quaint shops, and a wide choice of cafes and restaurants. Sit on a harbour wall and drink in the atmosphere whilst enjoying a local honey ice cream or fish and chips!

The dignified, Victorian resort of Aberystwyth with its electric cliff railway, promenade and pier, is close by as are the compelling Cambrian Mountains, a ‘Wild Wales’ of hill sheep farms, forest and lakelands. Take a stately meandering train ride on what was once a working link between local lead mines and the harbour. The Vale of Rheidol Railway now runs a steam train service through the Rheidol Valley terminating at Devil’s Bridge, and here you can choose to go and see the three bridges over the river, or visit other attractions such as the famous Mynach Falls, Devil’s Punch Bowl and Jacob’s Ladder.

When you have returned to Pengraig after days out exploring you can enjoy the tranquil location and children will appreciate the shared play area with toys.

No 4 Pengraig Draw can be booked together with No 1 Pengraig Draw (UK6434), No 2 Pengraig Draw (UK6435) and No 5 Pengraig Draw (CC621060) to accommodate up to 22 guests.

The complex is in a delightful rural location down country lanes, a lovely walk to the coastal path with spectacular views. A very short drive in to Aberystwyth which has all the amenities one needs. The bedding had been changed and there were clean towels on arrival but that's where it ended. The house had not been cleaned at all or even emptied of the last people's belongings! Dirty towels and underware in some of the drawers. Things left in cupboards in most rooms. We spent the first hour vacuuming and cleaning the chairs, tables and kitchen.......The kitchen was ill equipped, no oven gloves, only one tea towel, I burnt my hand as a result. A pizza tray in the cupboard had the greasy remains of the last pizza on it. There wasnt even a teabag on arrival, literally the only things left were a pepper grinder and empty salt cellar and some spray oil. A pint of milk and a few teabags and sachets of coffee are pretty standard offerings these days for those that have had a long journey. We've been spoilt with some amazing welcome packs over the past few years, so finding nothing at all was very disappointing. We couldn't even get a cold drink from the tap as both taps ran red hot.Flushes on 2 toilets were faulty and the shower in the main bathroom doesn't drain. Such a shame as the property has a lot to offer. The owners need to stay in it and experience the shortcoming and put them right. They'll get no repeat business like this.

The cottage was lovely, very comfortable and well equipped situated on a hillside with stunning scenery. We were able to access the coastal path from the farm site and walk over to Aberystwyth. Also a short drive away from Aberaeron and Newquay lovely coastal villages with a relaxed cafe culture vibe.(Could do with TV remotes for the bedrooms but didn’t really bother us as we were tired after busy days out.) We all had a grand stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.
