Llwynon cottage in Aberystwyth is highly praised for its beautiful, peaceful setting and stunning views. Guests appreciate the secure garden, ideal for dogs, and the property's cleanliness. The owner, Kathy, is frequently mentioned for her warmth and helpfulness. While some guests suggest updates are needed, the charm and comfort of the cottage, along with its wildlife-rich surroundings, contribute to many memorable stays.
The majority of guests found the cottage to be clean and well-maintained, contributing to a comfortable stay. However, a few noted minor issues, such as chipped crockery and window cleanliness, which slightly affected the overall impression.
The location is consistently lauded for its tranquillity, lush valley views, and proximity to local attractions. The presence of wildlife, including Red Kites, adds to the appeal, making it a standout feature for guests.
Guests generally found the cottage comfortable, with a special mention of the garden for relaxation. Some guests, however, reported that the furniture and bed could be improved for enhanced comfort.
The property is appreciated for being well-equipped, with a good shower and WiFi. Nonetheless, comments about the need for redecoration, updating of furniture, and issues with the washing machine suggest that there is room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

yes the views were incredible and the shower was lovely. There were no saggy mattresses at Llwynon, all 6 of us including Bella the dog had the best sleeps. Loved the furniture, the crockery was well loved had been in other peoples hands which I think is very special and we enjoyed meals using the lovely glasses and that lovely big pot and tiny coffee cups in that lovely sideboard. My husband was well able to use the washing machine ( he reports that the one at home is too complicated) and there was one of those lovely washing lines that you see in films blowing in the wind. The weather was superb, the lady of the house Kathy is lovely and her dear parents house is full of warmth and love. Yes of course to recommend but not for next July as we want to return.

The shower was very good. The cottage needs re decorating throughout. The double bed needs a new mattress as it sags in the middle. The chairs were the worst part and are far too low and extremely uncomfortable. They are also quite dirty/stained/fraying at corners and need replacing urgently. A lot of the crockery had chips in it. The washing machine appears to have a 12 hour delay on it. As there is no clothes airer or tumble dryer, washing has to be done when the weather is good so it can go out on the line in the morning and a delay on starting limits this use so please deactivate this feature. Despite this the owner was very friendly and we made the best of it and enjoyed revisiting the area, but wonât recommend the cottage.

Watching Red Kites flying overhead while eating breakfast/supper was amazing. The view from property across the valley are amazing. The bungalow is comfortable and clean. Yes it could do with updating but it adds to the charm of the place. Shower was decent and itâs got WiFi and the beds were comfortable. The only problem (if we were being picky) is the windows could do with a clean and there was no welcome pack so bring milk (although the shops are not far away) would definitely go back. Great place for dogs and kids too. Garden is huge and secure. Thanks Kathy.
