Explore the town, where you will find a wonderful selection of pubs and restaurants for those evenings when you don’t feel like cooking, as well as well-stocked shops for stocking up on any last-minute essentials.

Pack-up your bathing suits and swim trunks and head straight for the beach, where you can take to the waters and try your hand at a selection of watersports, bathe on the sands or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Victorian promenade. For the history buffs in your party, there is the Amgueddfa Ceredigion Museum which is housed in an Edwardian theatre and the fascinating ruins of the 13th-century Aberystwyth Castle. Other activities than can be found within the town are the excellent Aberystwyth Golf Club, the Aberystwyth Cliff Railway offering spectacular views and the Vale of Rheidol Railway where you can hop aboard a vintage steam train and soak up the sights as you head towards Devil’s Bridge.

Located on the west coast of Wales, Aberystwyth is an old market town. Watersports enthusiasts will delight in the many opportunities for boating and swimming along the Victorian promenade, which is named after the river Ystwyth that flows through the area. In this town, there is something for everyone, from boutiques to museums to tea places to cinemas to the National Library of Wales. The Ystwyth Trail, which connects Aberystwyth and Tregaron, is a beautiful 20-mile cycle and walking route.
