One of three bedrooms is located on the ground. On the first are the two other bedrooms, both including en-suites. There is a bike storage in the large porch to the side of the property and a garden with amazing views.
With breathtaking views over Cardigan Bay, Crug Y Bar is located just 200 yards from the cliff top. Gwbert-on-Sea is a small, quiet hamlet on the shore of the mouth of the Teifi Estuary, just a couple of miles outside Cardigan. The settlement takes its name from the wandering St Gwbert, said to have landed here and taken shelter in a cave. The shoreline is marked by rugged cliffs and small shingle bays, with large stretches of sandbank exposed at low tide, and the area gives superb views over a diverse and scenic landscape. The ancient oak woodland of the Teifi Valley, the tidal marshes of the estuary, and the boundary of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park can all be appreciated from here. The 18-hole golf course at Cardigan Golf Club also offers fine views of the estuary and sea, and from the headland you can look across to Cardigan Island. The mud and sand flats of the estuary attract a great variety of birds, and in the autumn waders such as the redshank, oystercatcher and curlew can be seen feeding here, along with several species of migrating duck. The headland of Craig y Gwbert is the site of an Iron Age Fort, with pieces of pottery found near Gwbert, now on display in Cardigan Museum. Beach ½ mile.

Stunning views, the weather was awful but those views helped us cope with that. The best property we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in a lot.Thank you Sharon for supplying me with an armchair so kind of you and much appreciated. The welcome basket was amazing best we have ever had, all local produce. The scenery in West Wales is beautiful, a must is the drive to Aberyswyth stunning all the way. Also worth a drive is to Freshwater West, Castlemartin the beach is quite unique, those familiar with Harry Potter it is where Dobby was buried. We would go back in a heartbeat.

Crug Y Bar is a superb holiday home. It is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. We received a warm welcome from Sharon who gave us helpful advice. The welcome basket was amazing, providing us with lots of basics and Welsh treats. The location was great with fantastic views of Cardigan Bay from the conservatory. It was a five minute stroll along the road to the Gwbert Hotel and the Cliff Hotel where we enjoyed good meals at both places. There is easy access to various places of interest. We were very pleased on on arrival at Crug Y Bar to discover that a handrail and safety glass barrier had been installed on the steps to the terrace. This is not shown on the photos and we think it is an important detail. We absolutely loved Crug Y Bar.
