Lovely well appointed cottage and location

Peaceful location and a beautiful cottage which was well equipped and value for money overall. We had some issues with lack of cleanliness on arrival but understand from the owner that the usual caretaker was unavailable and a stand in cleaner used - not acceptable though as it was basic stuff. The sofa in the main lounge isn’t comfortable (personal preference) for sitting to watch TV or just chatting but the sofa in the reading room was great. Due to having children, one being a teenager we did take a Tv with us so he could be on his PlayStation whilst the other watched TV in the evenings., this was a godsend. Despite the rural location WIFI was excellent. Overall 9/10

Wonderful house in a delightful location - only a short walk down to the bay (back uphill in the sun, it’s a much longer walk, of course!).The house was fully equipped with pretty much everything one needs. It’s very stylish - someone has a very good eye indeed for interior furnishings. The beds are extremely comfortable, but one afforded the only small grumble we had about the week: one of the beds in the twin bedded room squeaks when the occupant moves in bed, which noise, in some bizarre and mysterious fashion, reverberates through the floor / wall to resound in both the single bedroom next door, and the master bedroom at the end of the house! One sleepless night and we worked out what was causing it - occupant swapped beds. Hope it gets sorted soon. The caretaker was lovely and super helpful.Cannot sufficiently highly recommend this charming property - we will definitely be back again.
