About this property

Just a few minutes' walk from the market town of Cardigan, this comfortable and welcoming cottage with private hot tub, is on a quiet lane. It’s ideal for exploring the two counties of Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire. Cardigan has a castle and theatre as well as an excellent range of individual shops, galleries, pubs and eateries. There is a lovely wildlife park on the Teifi marshes - the river Teifi flows through Cardigan, St Dogmaels and out to the sea at Poppit Sands.

There are plenty of beaches in the area such as Mwnt, Patch, Aberporth, Tresaith and Poppit.

If you enjoy walking why not try a section of the All Wales Coast Path and maybe even spot a dolphin.

Explore Aberporth, New Quay, Aberaeron and St Davids.

The bustling market town of Cardigan in Ceredigion is set on the River Teifi and offers an array of shops, both unique local producers and larger chain stores, as well as tea rooms, pubs, restaurants and an impressive ruined castle. Surrounding Cardigan is beautiful countryside, whilst the rugged Pembrokeshire coastline is just a few miles away. You have the opportunity to visit the Cardigan Island Farm Park, wonderful Blue Flag sandy beaches like the National Trust beach Mwnt, take a boat trip to spot dolphins and seals, or horse riding at the friendly Dyfed Riding Centre. For keen cyclists take a trip on the National Cycle Route, Number 82. The nearby Preseli Mountains offer wonderful walking and cycling, with some stunning views and an ancient stone monument. Within driving distance is the town of Carmarthen, Dylan Thomas' Boat House in Laugharne, Oakwood Theme Park, Blue Lagoon indoor waterpark, Folly Farm Zoo and the Welsh Wildlife Centre at Cilgerran, as well as an array of castles, mills and craft centres. Cardigan is an excellent base for exploring this part of Wales.

It was our first holiday in Wales since we moved to Wales a year ago. The only issue had was with the cottage information booklet. It needs to be updated as still contains conflicting information about COVID rules and the checking out process was not clear. The recycling info with regards to the bins and bin man dates did not agree with what was onsite.

The beds were very comfy. The facilities were good however, the toilet wouldn’t flush properly and on 2 occasions it became blocked. The iron lead needs attention as it was showing bare wires. We did what the instructions asked us to do and put the bins and recycling out and it stayed out for a week. When the bins were collected they completely ignored ours and we couldn’t not fit anymore rubbish in it. It was almost full when we arrived so maybe the owner needs to speak to the refuge collectors. Otherwise we had a very restful stay at this property.

A lovely, clean and well equipped cottage. Hot tub was a bonus to take in the quiet and peacefulness with added wildlife noises- day and night- Bliss! Location is excellent to adventure out to the local shops and pubs of cardigan, llangrannog and Newquay- child and dog friendly beaches with an added boat trip out to see the Dolphins and sea pups. A Big Thank you to the owner for sending back my toiletries bag.
