Cobwebs Corner in Porthcawl is a charming and quirky cottage that has received high praise for its welcoming owner, Tony, and its excellent location close to the beach and local amenities. Guests have enjoyed the property's character, cosy atmosphere, and the history shared by Tony. The cottage is well-equipped and dog-friendly, making it a hit with pet owners. While some minor issues were mentioned, the overall experience has been very positive, with many guests eager to return.
The cottage is generally described as tidy and clean, with guests feeling comfortable during their stay. There was a single mention of ants, but this seems to be an isolated incident rather than a common concern.
The location is highly praised for being close to the beach, shops, and pubs, with easy access to local attractions. It's an ideal spot for dog walking and exploring South Wales.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with a cosy lounge and comfy beds. The presence of a playroom and ample space for pets adds to the comfort level. However, the mention of challenging stairs for some guests slightly affects the score.
The cottage is well-equipped, with mentions of a full digital TV package and an air fryer. However, the lack of an oven and issues with TV streaming services have been noted, indicating room for improvement.
While guests have expressed appreciation for the owner's warm welcome and local insights, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Nice clean cottage, with lots of floor space - great if youâre travelling with dogs. Owner is very friendly, on hand if you need anything, and gave us some interesting history of the area. 3 dog friendly pubs in a couple of minutes walking distance. Only thing - a sweeping brush would be handy as we like to leave a property as we find it especially travelling with pets. Otherwise a lovely cottage in a great location, locals all super friendly too. We would like to return.
