Fabulous holiday cottage, immaculately clean and very stylish. The beds were comfortable and the showers nice and powerful which is a huge plus. Smart tvs in the rooms and loads of board games available. The hot tub is a great addition and we enjoyed spending the evenings watching the cows in the neighbouring field. Dean and Charlene were fantastic hosts. Very friendly and responsive. We really enjoyed having the farm animals around, especially the little pigs that wandered up the driveway. The cockerel was a bit noisy but it didn’t bother us too much. One of the features of being on a rural small holding! Things to be aware of- it is very rural and it’s a farm track for part of the journey. This was part of the appeal for us but worth considering if you don’t like to be too remote. Also there is a small convenience shop but the nearest supermarket is about half an hour away. We were out and about most days so just grabbed supplies en route but again, worth stocking up if you need to. The only other thing, it would be useful to have a little handbook to know where things were, how to use the appliances and bin instructions, but that’s a very small area for improvement on an otherwise perfect holiday. We had a lovely stay. The house is beautiful and little of the beaten track. Up a steep gravel winding road. The views were amazing. Everything you needed was there, although a few suggestions for visitors with small children. Some children safety plates and cups. I was worried that they would break very nice glasses and plates. Also provide a stair gates. For the older generation a bathroom slip mat, there was only one for both bathrooms, and hand towels would have been helpful. Although I mentioned some small negatives, they are only suggestions rather than complaining. I wouldn't hesitate to go back.
