Guests that stayed at this property said

Most guests found the cottage clean and well-equipped. However, a few mentioned that the bathroom, kitchen, and windows could benefit from a deeper clean, and there was a mention of a cigarette smell upon arrival.

The location is highly praised for its stunning scenery, quiet village setting, and good walking opportunities. It is central to many attractions, though the mention of single-track roads suggests accessibility could be challenging for some.

Guests consistently report that the cottage is comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed and a quiet room. The presence of two good pubs nearby adds to the comfort of the stay.

The cottage is described as well-equipped with good facilities. However, there are comments about parking difficulties and a lack of outdoor space, which could be improved. The mention of a new cooker suggests recent updates.

While the owner is commended for excellent communication and providing useful information, there are no specific mentions of gifts or special thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

An ideal base for both family and walking holidays from where you can explore the beautiful Ceiriog valley and surrounding Welsh hills. Less than a two minute walk away you can enjoy the warm hospitality of The West Arms and the Hand Hotel, whether for a drink and bar snack or to enjoy their fine dining.

Set on a country lane, the front door to this lovely holiday home opens into the hallway with the kitchen and sitting room on either side. The spacious kitchen is well equipped with everything you require for a great stay in North Wales, including an American style fridge/freezer and a range cooker, as well as a Belfast sink and wood block worktops. The kitchen has a large breakfast table, with plenty of room for you and your party to linger over morning coffee and decide what you wish to do during the day.

The pleasant sitting room has a bay window with lovely views of the centre of the village including its much photographed signpost. There are two sofas and a drop-leaf table in the bay window for more formal dining or to enjoy a board game or jigsaw puzzle.

Upstairs are three bedrooms and the bathroom. The spacious master bedroom, Maen Gwyn, has windows on three sides to enjoy beautiful views of the hills and Ceiriog valley. It has a king size bed, ample storage in fitted wardrobes and a dressing table. The comfortable double bedroom and single bedroom also have good views.

The modern bathroom is fully tiled with a shower over the bath. There is also a downstairs WC and wash basin.

The property has wifi and unlimited fibre broadband. Note that there is no mobile reception in the village but there is a telephone for emergency calls in the cottage.

The accommodation is perfectly suited for families, offering a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The cottage was impeccably clean, and every detail was thoughtfully attended to, ensuring a pleasant and relaxing stay. The picturesque scenery surrounding the cottage is absolutely breathtaking. We enjoyed lovely walks around the village, taking in the natural beauty and tranquillity of the area. The peaceful setting provided a much-needed escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We highly recommend this cottage to families looking for a serene and scenic retreat.

The local Inn has excellent food and friendly atmosphere. Cottage is comfortable but could do with updating. Can be an awkward to share the one bathroom if many are staying. The front flower border needs attention as quite over grown.

It's an excellent cottage with all the facilities you need. The new cooker is easy to use and having a cloakroom downstairs is very handy. When a minor issue arose the owner, Rosemary, responded promptly and made helpful suggestions as to how to manage. The only down side was that the West Arms is closed for refurbishment, but that isn't the fault of the cottage. Hopefully it's only temporary! Llanarmon is a good centre for getting out and about. We found plenty to do and places to visit, and there are still some paths we haven't explored. Meeting the Recycling collection truck down a single track road just adds to the fun.
