Guests say

The Coach House offers a peaceful and scenic retreat, highly praised for its stunning valley views, cosy atmosphere, and well-equipped facilities. Guests consistently mention the warm welcome from the owners, the excellent local pubs, and the abundance of walking opportunities nearby. The cottage is ideal for those seeking relaxation and a rural escape, with many appreciating the thoughtful touches and comfort provided. While a few guests noted minor issues with cleaning and the remoteness of the location, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, making it a popular choice for a tranquil countryside holiday.

Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, with several describing it as immaculate. However, a small number of reviews mentioned dust and the need for some additional cleaning, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is widely celebrated for its beautiful views, peaceful setting, and proximity to excellent pubs and walking routes. Some guests noted the remoteness and narrow roads, but these were generally seen as part of the rural charm.

Guests frequently described the cottage as cosy, comfortable, and well-suited for relaxation. The beds and furnishings received positive feedback, with only rare mentions of minor issues such as a cold bathroom.

The cottage is praised for being well-equipped, with everything needed for a self-catering stay. Facilities such as the kitchen, log burner, and entertainment options were appreciated. A few guests found the oven/microwave confusing, but this did not detract significantly from their experience.

Many guests commented on the owners' helpfulness, warm welcomes, and proactive communication. Some mentioned thoughtful touches such as heating on arrival, travel advice, and available tea and coffee. Please note that specific gifts or extras are not guaranteed for every stay.

Comfortable well equipped cottage in quiet village. Very peaceful, but 2 pubs within 50 yards. Very impressed with the Ceiriog valley, some beautiful views and plenty of wildlife. Lots of narrow roads but not a problem, traffic is very light. Easy access to Llangollen and the A5. Would recommend for relaxing or for visiting the many places of interest. Pistyll Rheadur, Pontcystylle aqueduct and Llangollen town are all worth a visit.

Our stay at the Coach House provided just what we needed: a quiet space to unwind. It's a very peaceful location with beautiful views, and we found everyone so friendly. Having The Hand Hotel across the road was a huge bonus. The staff and locals were welcoming and helpful, and the food was exceptional. What a treat to have access to spa treatments too! It's a short drive (about 5-10 minutes) to the nearest shop. We found the combined oven/microwave a bit confusing, and the addition of some cleaning products would have been useful, but other than that we had everything we needed. We will certainly be back again.

Restored coach house in a beautiful setting. At the end of the valley in a village that seems lost in time apart from its two pubs. Who could want more .The coach house has everything you could possibly need for a memorable holiday. It is very comfortable and could be enjoyed at every season. A lot of thought has gone into equipping it.The views from the open plan lounge and kitchen are wonderful .Early mornings with coffee on the terrace, the view and the sheep waking up were my favourite times. This is Wales at its best. Be warned though - take particular note of the instructions to enter the valley via Chirk. This is the wider road in , any other way and it’s mainly single track and somewhat of an adventure.
