Guests say

Guests have found the cottage in Prestatyn to be a spacious and comfortable property with beautiful views, close to local amenities. While some minor maintenance issues and additional kitchenware are suggested, the property's cleanliness and the thoughtful touches like provided washing up essentials are appreciated. The property's charm and the welcoming local community contribute to a pleasant stay.

The property is generally described as clean, with one mention of cobwebs on the porch. The positive remarks on cleanliness suggest a high standard, with only minor areas for improvement.

The location is praised for its wonderful views and proximity to shops, pubs, and a children's play area. The steep steps are noted but do not detract significantly from the overall positive feedback on the location.

The property is considered cosy and comfortable, especially the beds in some rooms. However, there are comments about uncomfortable mattresses and a lack of bedroom furniture, which suggests room for improvement in this category.

Facilities are generally good, but guests have suggested the addition of items such as a mirror in the bathroom, a washing machine, and more kitchenware. Maintenance issues like shower drainage and a problematic toilet flush have been noted.

Thoughtful touches like the provision of washing up liquid, tea towels, and sponges are mentioned positively. However, as there is no mention of gifts, the score reflects the general thoughtfulness in provision of essentials.

Very spacious, warm, well furnished and is in a good location. Shop, play area, pub and Chinese all in walking distance. Food at the Red Lion was very good. Negatives... No bin bags provided despite the listing advertising black bags would be. Soft beds. Lots of uneven and slippery steps leading up the property. When arriving in darkness outside lights were not switched on so it was very treacherous especially cartying luggage. No open fire despite this being advertised on the listing. No mention in the handbook of what to do with rubbish and recycling so we had to take it home with us. Condensation on most of the windows meant we couldn't enjoy the lovely views. The property is old so this is to be expected, but a window vac could help with this.

It's extremely comfortable and spacious with beautiful views and close to essential amenities. On arrival, the house was clean and it was unbelievably helpful to have washing up liquid, a tea towel and sponge. We had brought our teabags, sugar and milk, however there is a lovely little box with pouches in if needed. N.B last year everything was great, but this year we had issues with the downstairs shower drainage. We had to keep our showers very short as the water did not drain quick enough and was at risk of overflowing after 5 minutes. Not a criticism (we've already booked for next year) but just to maybe get it looked at. We tried to run water through the outside drain and cleared muck that gets stuck in there, but that didn't help.
