Gwynfa is a spacious and well-located bungalow in Rhyl, praised for its roomy layout, well-equipped kitchen, and proximity to local amenities. Guests appreciate the comfortable beds and responsive hosts, making it a popular alternative to caravans. While the property offers a homely atmosphere and is ideal for families and dog owners, some guests noted areas for improvement, particularly regarding garden security, window maintenance, and overall cleanliness. Despite these points, many guests would happily return, highlighting the property's convenience and value.
Reviews are mixed, with several guests noting issues such as dust, crumbs, and tired linens, while others found the property clean and comfortable. Some mention the need for better cleaning, especially under beds and in the kitchen, but the property is generally considered acceptable for short stays.
The location is consistently praised for its convenience, being close to Rhyl, shops, and the coastal path. Guests found it ideal for visiting family and exploring North Wales.
Guests frequently mention the spaciousness and comfort of the bungalow, with positive comments about the beds and living areas. Some noted issues with mattresses and pillows, but overall comfort is rated highly.
The kitchen and bathroom are well-equipped and appreciated by guests. However, maintenance issues such as blown window seals, garden security, and minor repairs are noted. Facilities are functional but would benefit from some updates.
Several guests mentioned the absence of welcome packs or basic supplies such as dishcloths, tea, or coffee. While the hosts are described as responsive, guests should note that gifts or welcome packs are not guaranteed.

Old, tired needs a complete revamp. Some of the double glazing units have failed causing condensation and dirt between the panes so you can barely see out through them. Shower curtain rail was partially falling down, bath plug had been unscrewed from the pop up mechanism because the mechanism had failed, bottom drawer in one of the wardrobes was not running properly because the bottom of the wardrobe was coming apart. (Fixed the shower rail and wardrobe drawer myself) Visible cobwebs in several areas. Too many extension cables for electrics no safety cover for exposed sockets, unsafe with a toddler in the property.I would say that a bare minimum of some things were provided.. We had specified that there were 4 adults and a 2 year old there for a fortnight. The travel cot was filled with a duvet and 3 pillows. There was no separate bedding for the travel cot. There was 1 hand towel and 4 bath towels. 1 tea towel. Less than half a toilet roll, no paper kitchen towels. 1 black rubbish sack no spares. Rubbish that had been left behind in bins/boxes was incorrectly sorted most notably in the orange food caddy there was a McDonalds bag with a mix of paper, cardboard and uneaten food in it.We do not expect food items to be left for us but in over 40 years of renting holiday properties this was the first time there has been no tea, no coffee not so much as a grain of sugar and no containers to keep these items in.

I was dubious after reading other reviews but we found it a lovely warm and comfortable bungalow Yes you can’t see through some of the windows and could feel some of the springs in the mattresses ( but can understand as these cost a lot of money ) but this didn’t stop us from having a lovely stay I’d definitely recommend this property in fact have already done so in fact I could live in this permanently THANKYOU FOR A LOVELY STAY
