The living/dining room is the perfect place to relax and admire views out to the garden, complete with an electric fire ideal for lighting on cooler evenings. If you feel like staying in and cooking, the kitchen/diner is well-equipped, or head to the on-site bar and restaurant to dine out. Spend your evenings soaking up the last of the sunshine in the rear, woodland garden, enjoying views of the Welsh Mountain Range, where you can dine alfresco, light the barbecue, and enjoy a dip in the private hot tub. When it’s time to rest, retreat to one of the four bedrooms, choosing from a king-size with en-suite walk-in shower, a double, a ground-floor double, and a twin. Freshen up in the bathroom before enjoying a morning coffee in the conservatory, looking out onto the park. The hilltop town of Ruthin lies to the north of Llangollen via the breathtaking Horseshoe Pass. The town is picturesque with attractive half-timbered buildings, mainly clustered around St Peter’s Square. There are many interesting shops and buildings, whilst the Nant Clwyd House (the oldest timber frame in Wales), Ruthin Gaol and Ruthin Craft Centre, which houses work by internationally recognised artists and craftspeople, are also worth a visit. Beautiful countryside is on Ruthin’s doorstep with Lake Brenig, Moel Famau Country Park and Clocaenog Forest close by. Further afield, but still within easy touring distance, are the coast, Snowdonia National Park and historic Chester.
