About this property

St Asaph 1.9 miles. Plas Coch is nestled in a peaceful location near St Asaph in Denbighshire. Discover this Grade II-listed, five-bedroom property, boasting a wealth of characterful features including original beams and wood panelling, off-road parking, and en-suite facilities, welcoming ten guests to bask in the ultimate escape to North Wales. After unloading your belongings, cross the threshold into your new home-from-home, ready to kick back and relax in the homely sitting room as the woodburning stove roars away next to you. Allow the allocated chef to cook up a storm in the contemporary kitchen ahead of settling down at the dining table, ready to tuck in over a bottle of fizz as you reflect on the days events. If you prefer, move mealtimes outdoors to the enclosed garden where you can enjoy the hot tub or bask in the sun’s rays during summer months; when the stars appear overhead, retreat to the Jack-and-Jill shower room on the ground-floor and freshen up before catching your rest. There are five stunning bedrooms to choose from, including a ground-floor super-king-size, three king-sizes and a double, all with either en-suite shower rooms or bathrooms so you can get ready or wind down for the day in style. If you can tear yourself away, begin your adventures in St Asaph where you’ll find all your local conveniences including a shop and pub, perfect for stocking up on the self-catering essentials or treating your loved ones to some hearty grub. Further afield, in Denbigh, take a historical tour around the medieval structure of Denbigh Castle before paying a visit to the Cae Dai 1950s museum, or travel towards Rhyl, ensuring to stop off at the Rhaeadr Dyserth Waterfall, SeaQuarium, Rhyl Botanical Gardens and Rhyl Beach. Be sure to pack your golf clubs, as Prestatyn Golf Club resides close by, in addition to Prestatyn Beach where you can try your hand at a range of watersports or simply watch the world pass by. Within accessible reach also of the Snowdonia National Park, home to the challenging Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), Glyder Fawr and Zip World Llechwedd, you’ll seldom be short of things to see or do! All of this and more awaits at Plas Coch.

Even though St Asaph has a population of just a little over 3500, it was given city status in 2012. St. Asaph is located in North Wales' Vale of Clwyd, six miles from Denbigh and the coastal community of Rhyl. It has a commanding vantage point over the rivers Clwyd and Elwy. The city provides lovely riverbank parkland, a kid's play area, and attractive river walks where you might observe buzzards, kingfishers, and sparrow hawks. A historic cathedral at St. Asaph, which has the distinction of being the smallest, most ancient cathedral in Britain, dates back as far as 1400 years. It is also well-known for being the site of the Welsh translation of the Bible in the sixteenth century. The North Wales International Music Festival, which takes place in several venues and culminates in a televised finale aired from the cathedral for the past few years, brings life to the city in September. Traditional pubs, fine restaurants, several craft and gift stores, local clubs with a 9-hole golf course, horseback riding, angling, and crown green bowling, as well as a bustling leisure centre and the Tweedmill Shopping Outlet, are just a few of the pleasures and activities that St. Asaph has to offer. An excellent holiday spot for discovering this beautiful region of North Wales.
