Guests appreciate the relaxing atmosphere, proximity to the beach, and family-friendly entertainment at Hawthorn 3 Premier. Many enjoy the hot tub and the helpfulness of staff. However, some guests note that the lodge and outdoor areas appear tired and in need of maintenance, with occasional issues such as broken appliances and limited kitchen equipment. Despite these concerns, the property remains a popular choice for families returning to the area.
Opinions on cleanliness are mixed. Some guests found the lodge clean, while others reported sticky tables, bird droppings outside, and a generally shabby appearance.
The location is praised for its closeness to the beach and local attractions, but some guests found the lodge's position near the park entrance noisy and less desirable.
While guests enjoyed the relaxing environment, comfort was affected by maintenance issues such as broken stools, heating problems, and insufficient outdoor seating for the number of guests.
Facilities are a concern for some guests, with reports of broken dishwashers, limited kitchen utensils, hot tub issues, and maintenance problems. However, the hot tub and entertainment options are appreciated when functioning.
There is no mention of welcome gifts or extra thoughtful touches in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

We booked a stay in the Hawthorne lodge as we wanted something a bit special with the hot tub and extra space. The positives:The lodge itself was clean, spacious, well equipped with washer and dishwasher. The pool area is lovely with sauna / steam room and jacuzzi and seating areas poolside for relaxation. There are 2 play areas on site, one for smaller kids and one for older children. You are walking distance from Talacre beach, bakery, cafe and amusements. The entertainment team were great and my daughter enjoyed her stuffed teddy activity.Things that let it down:On arrival the lodge was covered in seagull poop, a quick bucket and sponge would have sorted it for a good first impression. Seagulls are inevitable by the sea but there were seagull nests with chicks on neighbouring caravans so seagull noise was an issue and limited having windows open at night during the heatwave.Although the lodge is behind a high hedge there is a lot of noise from people leaving the pub late at night and the sites maintenance vehicles with their engines running in a morning. There were also loud engines being revved aggressively in the carpark at times late at night. The lodge also backs onto the noisy air conditioning units running at the back of the shop which switch on and off 24 hours a day and made it hard to sleep. Thankfully when in the hot tub, the noise was drowned out. There are no blinds in the lodge and only light coloured curtains in the main bedroom. Thankfully we took our own portable blackout blind but had to do some DIY on the other windows with towels and bin bags to help our kids sleep.I think for the money paid I would have expected the lodge to be sited better on the park away from noise / the air con units such as near the other three lodges and would have expected better blinds at the windows.

We love it at Talacre Beach, the kids love the entertainment and Charlie Bear. Staff are pleasant and helpful. We love the extra with the hot tub as we can relax and enjoy the weather. The beach is close to the resort and nice weather helps when you go the beach. Kids love the arcades with the 2p machines we're close to Rhyl and Knighleys fun fair we go every year.

Lodge is shabby. 1 of the stools at the breakfast bar was broken and dangerous.Hot tub was a nightmare kept going freezing cold without the lid, too cold to use. Error messages coming up. Boiler was leaking and heating wasn’t working or hot water had to call out to get it fixed. Tele wasn’t working had to call out to get it fixed.Outside is covered in bird poo and rotten.
