Guests consistently commend the friendly owner, Phil, and the comfortable, well-equipped accommodation. The views and peaceful surroundings contribute to a relaxing stay, with many visitors looking forward to returning.

Reviewers consistently mention the spotless condition of the cottage, highlighting its cleanliness as a significant positive aspect of their stay.

The location is frequently described as picturesque with fantastic views, though one review mentioned a closed pub within walking distance. Overall, the setting is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to local attractions.

Comfort is a recurring theme, with guests finding the beds comfortable and the cottage cosy, often mentioning the underfloor heating and the quality of the bedding.

Facilities are well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and the inclusion of thoughtful touches like a bottle of milk and a wood burner. However, one negative review regarding suitability for people with disabilities suggests room for improvement in accessibility.

We visited in mid-November and despite this being a working farm there was no evidence of mud, farm smells or other things usually associated with farms in winter. Car parking is conveniently adjacent to the cottage on the concrete hard standing provided for the farm buildings. From the patio door, there is a splendid view across the Dee estuary to the Wirral. The farm is very secure with an electric gate allowing your car in and out also, Phil the owner who lives on the farm is usually around or easily contactable if necessary. Phil will meet you at the property when you arrive to show you around and give advice on places to visit etc. but after this initial introduction, he will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. The cottage is spotlessly clean, modern, tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you could possibly need during your stay. The underfloor heating keeps the cottage warm but there is a log burning stove if necessary for the evening on cold days; Phil will show you how to get the best results from the stove. Phil has provided OS maps and information leaflets etc. for the North Wales area and there is lots to see and many places of interest to visit in the area.

There was a spectacular view of the estuary and the area around was beautiful. The owner was a lovely man who made our short stay very enjoyable so much so that we have already booked again for next year.

Hosted by Phil who is so generous with his time and advice. Helped us enormously when we had a problem with our car. The horses were fabulous. I am not a horse person - one we called the ‘blonde’ - we were educated - palomino The cottage has all that you need. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Spectacular views across to the water in the distance. Big skies. We came back very relaxed.
